Memory and a dollar will buy you a small coffee from McDonald’s.

Yeah holy crap pretty much all of the Netflix Marvel shows could have done with 2 or 3 fewer episodes per season.

To its credit, the lingering pace doesn’t translate to any boring moments. Stranger Things still injects an enthralling backstory into its well-established universe.

It’s a show not afraid to ask, “How much Stranger can Things get?”

There’s still a whole new (last) season after the two final episodes.

Sounds awesome to me!

I love it when people run with narratives, despite logic and facts indicating otherwise.  Chappelle didn’t come out against affordable housing, he came out against a plan that didn’t guarantee it, and looked to be a classic bait and switch.

I mean, if I’m going to pay to see a live stand-up act, I’d expect to hear controversial and offensive jokes. Even if said comedian decided to make cracks at my expense....and run with it for the rest of their set, I’d still probably laugh because they’d be right.

You’re right but also people easily triggered should just avoid going to stand-up comedy shows in general.

and they’d be right.

THE HORROR

No, that came across quite well. It literally pulled me out of the film, as I was already considering how JJ and KK would react.

I didn’t really like his Star Wars film, mostly because I could see how disjointed it was from the previous and its inevitable conflict with the third while sitting in the theater. I thought the pacing was poor, the B-plot was asinine, the characterization non-existent, but I REALLY enjoyed Cranky Luke interacting

2018 called; it wants its edgy use of an ANH quote in a tiresome forever war over the objective suckitude of TLJ back.

What a weird way to live your life

Even though the final scene of Endgame is epic, Infinity War is overall better than Endgame. It’s not even a contest.

Infinity War at 10 because of “too much fighting” was hilarious.

So true, and an audience that isn’t just comic book nerds. There are plenty of people who are well versed in the MCU who couldn’t find their way around a comic book store.

One of the fascinating things about the MCU is how disparate these rankings are among different fans. There are some movies with near-consensus agreement (everyone loves Winter Soldier, pretty much everyone hates The Incredible Hulk), but beyond that....

Is Iron Man 3 a fun, quirky, weird, character-driven delight, or

Yeah, I was nodding until Captain Marvel and thought “I’d put that lower.” Then I got to Infinity War, and I thought “You’re fucking insane.”
