That wasn’t the question, though. The question was: what do you want from Star Wars in the future. If your answer is “no more Star Wars” then perhaps you shouldn’t answer at all.

It’s a purely commercial enterprise, crafted to sell people stupid shit they don’t need.

Honestly? I think you’re substituting the meta-post 2000's reinterpretation as the literal truth with Star Wars. Fascism certainly IS a part of Lucas conception of evil in the OT (THX 1138 also feels a little like this), but even to hear Lucas talk about his inspiration he is talking about very plain good vs. evil.

I like your attitude.

I’m not so sure. Andor IIRC is set 5 years before Rogue One. And in Rogue One, Bail Organa and Mon Mothma are talking as if the Galactic Civil War mentioned in the opening crawl of A New Hope hasn’t actually begun yet, suggesting that Andor is more about politics and espionage than space wartime. Eh agree to disagree.

Hey, hating things that are bad, we all know you are doing it just to get clicks!

So wait.  Are you saying you think this trailer is good?

My! Question! Exactly!!!!

They cancelled Legends of Tomorrow for this shit??

is how I feel about this trailer

Bruce Wayne’s adopted son, a fully new character that has never been in any comics

Leia Organa saves the day. She’s instantly skeptical of Obi-Wan and dissects him like a professional therapist,”

She’s joking around about Luke’s height five minutes after her whole planet gets genocided. A New Hope just didn’t have time for a lot of emotional consequences.

100 percent agree about Leia. Apart from it being so refreshing to not have it telegraphed or even hinted at in the trailer, it was so goddamn obvious we should all have seen it coming! Getting blindsided is so nice, and so rare.

I had no clue they were going there, but then again I have made it a point to avoid spoilers.

which makes knowing what happens next because he eventually has a final face-off with maul and is good enough to finish him in one move by then. so he must eventually regain his connection to the force and abilities.

And yet, this seems a pretty formative adventure. Did she really not... remember any of this? When she asks Obi-Wan for help in A New Hope, she mentions his connection to her father, not any relationship they had. However, she also tells Luke in Return of the Jedi that she doesn’t remember her mother when clearly she

I mean, the best fake name he could come up with was Ben Kenobi.

For the most part, I think the show is darned good. I hadn’t read a whole bunch before it was released so Flea was a surprise. As I kind of expected, though, the Inquisitors are the weak part. Between the questionable make-up effects or the Charlie Brown head of the Grand Inquisitor or the bad panto villain acting of
