And hopefully he’s a better communicator than Kawhi. ;-)
This is why I have always loved the Spurs since the Pop era.
He’s easily the greatest coach in NBA history, and possibly in sports
Credit also goes to RC Buford for going out and finding these dudes in the first place. Pop is great at molding the clay once they are arrive...but RC is the best at finding the dudes who are willing/capable of being molded.
Is there a better coach in the NBA or any sport at adjusting his system to fit the players he has in a given year than Popovich? I don’t think Belichik is the answer, because that’s more about constantly cycling through players to fit the system.
If Derrick White was on the Knicks he’d be Lance Thomas, why am I still a Knicks fan ?
How in the FUCK does Pop continuously manufacture these previously unknown dudes into what look like all stars.
Gabe, anything to win. If you’re not in the game and boxing out, get over there and let the hot dog go. Get in his head, literally. It was free if you’re seated that closely. Make Embiid remember you; if anything make it worth the price of admission. Chemical warfare. Forget the rules. Do your part. That’s a great…
The reverse-exceptionalism expressed by the belief that America’s some sort of unique force for evil in the world is some funny shit.

The duo was able to balance and plot out which stories were told in each of the movies because they developed both films simultaneously, outlined them together and wrote them back to back. They knew the ending of Endgame even before they started writing Infinity War.
Yeah, agreed, it definitely didn’t feel that way. Another reason is that his presence is felt when he’s not there, like when Tony’s doing the “ohmygod should i call him?” dance.
Captain America wasn’t exactly on the sidelines in Avengers: Infinity War, but for a character of his importance, he certainly played a smaller role.
Seriously, I’ve seen three, even four young adult people sitting around a table at a cafe, all staring into their phones and not speaking to each other.
Now that it’s abundantly clear that “early adopter” = “beta tester,” why do so many people still willingly drop hundreds or thousands of dollars to beta test a massive company’s products?
