I definitely think Echo has the potential to be a good Marvel character but I worry if they are putting the pieces around her for her story to really succeed

Exactly. Rian Johnson was the worst choice for the middle of a trilogy, Kathleen Kennedy shares the blame for letting him blow the thing up and not having an overall plot for the three movies ahead of time to begin with.
They have 3 months to touch it up. I think it will be significantly better, especially since the Marvel team is definitely poring through the comments on YouTube and seeing all the iffy feedback on She-Hulk’s facial CGI.
Wonky CGI aside, I think this is a good first look. I liked the sense of humor and the overall feel. The premise should be a lot of fun, too. I’m all for non-superhero uses of superheroes.
