except that if a team is doing this on an everyday basis they aren’t going to just change on a dime to throwing their starter out their in the first for no reason...

and then you run out of pitchers by game 3 cause they are all gassed...and you are also hoping they all pitch great...when in reality most teams have at most two good relievers....

its like people forget how rare it is to have a great bullpen...most teams have 1 maybe 2 really go relievers the rest are meh

because then you tire out and use all your pitchers and have nobody left to pitch by the 3rd game...

How is this a sound strategy? The guy is in the bullpen for a reason...he couldn’t hack it as a starter... so yeah it worked a few times..but when he screws the pooch and gives up a couple of runs and then the starter comes in and has to pitch from behind? and then woops you have already used one of your best…
