What you say about currents and voltages is untrue. A 12v wound starter would indeed draw half the current of a 6v wound starter of the same capacity (power). However, putting 12v on a 6v starter doubles the current (in your example to 140A). Refer to Ohm’s law: R=U/I, starter motor resistance is 6/70 which is 0,086

However, VW engineering manager Hans Arschloch told Austria’s Motorung that cheat mode was an accidental—if fortuitous—discovery made while testing out the TDI’s twin-clutch (DSG) front-wheel-drive system. Arschloch explained:

It looks like he is using the cheep 1/4" hose from harbor fright and most likely thier couplings. For an impact to work correctly, you need 3/8" hose and higher flowing coupplings. The HF 3/8" couplings are realy designed for hte lower flow 1/4" hose. You need the pressure in the tool not in the hose.

For want of a connector the air line was lost.
For want of an air line the wastegate was lost.
For want of a wastegate the turbo was lost.
For want of a turbo the power was lost.
For want of power a lap was lost.
For want of a lap the race was lost.
And all for the want of a turbo line connector.

Huh, didn’t know they offered the SS trim on the 81 Vette.

BMW Isetta.

Can we just start prefacing all A-10 stories with the same photo for the TL:DR crowd?

Thats a 2001 Sel Limited Edition! Hard to find, wonder if his brother owns a dealership in the valley or something.

Cool Bob. I never actually “raced” my 81 unless you qualify stoplight to stoplight as racing. Funny you mentioned the oil pan issue as I spun a bearing in mine powering through a long left hand sweeper turning some crazy rpm. The shop said the oil pump pickup had fallen off, but the oil pan bug-a-boo was more likely

My last BMW was very much like my 1981 Citation X11 with the HO660.

I’ve driven both a 200 and a Cherokee with the 9 speed, and I’m convinced that 90% of the people who complain about it have never actually driven a car with it, and are simply parroting the complaints they read online. It has a couple of minor quirks (the 4-5/5-4 shift involves a dog collar thus a torque interruption,

I was trying to think of another edition that I saw that made me laugh - that’s what it was OKLAHOMA EDITION!

I’m willing to hold off on judging her until I hear her side of the story bizarrely retold by Sean Penn.

Zing!

In Russia, helicoptors don’t need rotor brakes. In Russia, we use building.

so it’s not supposed to do that?

Gotta make room in the schedule for the GP of Yemen somehow.

Like sabotage. Can’t understand why COA is not yelling and threating to cancel all obligations with that perfect excuse. One at the beggining of the year, the other at the end, and we’re all happy.
