Rather than get into a debate on which owners are the ones that have disfunction, I believe the reason that the base Vette is a better car for the same money is it’s a LeMans winning sports car with substantially more racing performance than the 4C.
I know a G80 owner friend who bought it in medium market Wisconsin because it is a luxury car that can be serviced here . Once the pare down is done, I think the only options will be 140 miles + away which is a pain for warranty and recalls.

That may well be true that it is not a problem. But if it is a problem, it will be a mess. Time will tell.
Good question and you would think there wouldn’t be fog. But...... If the cockpit is warmer, any vapor will condense on a colder surface which the windshield would be so who knows.
I suspect this is a lot more difficult than first appears. One issue is rain and the challenge of keeping it clean and not fogging. Also some kind of tear off system will be needed.
One trick is trying to see if there are any tighter turns in the cable that you can relax, and or loosening the connection into the back of the spedo. Also you might try lubricating the cable if it is accessible. That did the trick for my 70's Alfa.

The reason I like the S2000 is the the absence of a mid door crease and pronounced rocker crease. Also I think the mirror may be on the fender rather than extension of the door frame.
