I was curious about the damage as it appears to be in areas not often hit or easily fixed. Reminds me of a recent Vette that got totalled after hitting a piece of steel with it’s underbody......

Because there are people out there with $117k in their checking accounts who say why not?

Nice writeup and I appreciate the brilliant engineering. But thinking about the injection and sensor complexity plus supercharging needed to pull it off, is this the desperate last gasp of internal combustion?

Say what you want, but it is a heck of a truck. The 3.9 has variable valve timing which means lots of torque. It’s beam axle, means it will tow a 400o pound trailer and say stable. It’s rigid body means no creaks even with 600 pounds tongue weight. It’s 4 speed transmission doesn’t hunt between gears and will tow all

Good sign, the master cylinder looks to be new.

Absolutely worth it as long as it was owned by an enthusiast that cared for it. Note, though, this is not an everyday car. it is 32 year old weekend car. Also, you might as well plan on changing the clutch slave, master and brake master and calipers as rubber does not last forever (I know) . But as long as you have

Hyundai is one lucky hombre. He hit the truck’s rear wheels. Hat he hit 6' further back, there would have been another convertible in the world.....

Its not as intuitive but the features I use seem to be in paint 3d.

Amen, comment of the day. Sadly common in many businesses.....

Wheel studs sheared? - Because loose wheel nuts....

Red flag means race over, get back to the pits. A reason for that rule is if you are slowly rolling away from the incident, it makes it clear to the safety crew that you don’t have a problem. Saving the attention of the safety crew for people that do have a problem. The Baker car demonstrates the appropriate

Maybe 700 hp through a 1.8 crank and gear box, nothing bad can happen here, right.

At Indy 500 dinner - Alonso “Sato, I wish I had your engine...”. Notice he didn’t say Power, I wish I had your engine. Per Helio, the Honda Motor owned the indy 500 this year.

Look at it this way, Honda is not running a charity for motorsports enthusiasts. I am sure there more than enough Earth Dreams leaders in their management that stick it in the eye of the motorsports types as they under deliver sales results. If this round of cars is not successful, would they be wrong to continue

Something to consider is heat. Turbo engines keep the heat in, and that may their undoing too.

Ps -I want 260 HP from K series Type R engine, not the 1.5 mill

This car is because of Honda’s desire to bring the car in at the mid-20's price range. That means using the 1.5 turbo. I think they also wanted to keep both the coupe and sedan, which means North American production. Using any 2 liter turbo varient solely for the Si in north america is a non-starter if cost matters

Oh, read the book Beast about the Penske Mercedes assault on Indy before yammering that this “racism” never happened before for Germans or Italians. As race day approached, came there were plenty of snarky comments about the Huns, especially when the P51's did a flyover right before the race........
