Or, you know, it’s called market competition. As in company A makes a product that company B doesn’t have so it forces company B to bring their product to market as quick as they can.

It fills a need.  How much of a need it is and whether the business is viable for an independent contractor is a very large question, though.

I don’t think I would buy this over the specialized e-bikes. Most likely it is not that great. I have a hard time believing a car company could outdo a dedicated bike company.

Yup. I used to work with a guy who rode some shitty old mt bike on large road group rides (like fundraiser ones), I think just so he could brag about it. Sorry dude, you look like a tool and would be much happier on a nice road bike.

In what bizarro world was the hipster on the CF aero bike? Every biking event I’ve been to - whether Tris, centuries, or fun rides, it’s invariably the hipster riding the 30 year old steel framed single-gear bike. And usually wearing some absurd costume.

That’s like half the elite amateur tri and road scene.

Apparently anyone with money to spend on their hobbies who puts their long hair up to compete in a triathlon is a hipster now.

I can assure you, Rotwild does not, in fact, know what they’re doing. Just another contract manufactured Chinese frame, and an ugly one with poor suspension kinematics at that.

A feller would find himself watching Vice Grip Garage, where Derek would resurrect an old car from the junk yard, that hasn’t moved in 20 years and drive it several hundred miles home - sometimes during the winter, with a propane heater sitting next to him.

Vice grip garage!

Don’t worry, I’m only half teasing/judgding from my high horse (VW Alltrack). Let’s see what GM states as fact, shall we?

> none of my Jeeps have the towing capacity (or reliability) to handle such an endeavor

Wow, Truck Yeah isn’t even pretending anymore.

That’s kinda like saying all Prius drivers wear masks while driving.

People buy crewcabs because they are the closest thing to a do it all vehicle you can buy today. Gas mileage is hovering around 20 when not towing. You can comfortably fit a family of 5 plus gear. You can get as much luxury as your heart desires. You can also fit three rear facing carseats across the back in a

A truck, to their detractors, stands as a shorthand for “making America great again”

One more because I’m wasting time I should be spending on actual work.

Yeah, this guy has no idea about the market.  Pirelli is not top tier, just expensive.  No mention of brands like Toyo or Nexen which have OE fitments.  Goodyear is a top tier brand as is Firestone, again with a number of OE tires on both lines.

In the off road world, Cooper is more than respectable. They have a few tires that are bright spots and compete with the “top tier” BFGs and Goodyear offerings, but I’d say as a gross generalization Coopers off road & truck tires are seen as a 2nd tier only to more premium BFG and Goodyear.

Best? What do you mean best? Goodyear sells and has higher revenues than Pirelli and Conti

(Edit: in tires; Continental is obviously doing a lot of other OEM applications).
