You are exactly the person I’m talking about. You want a CUV that also may occasionally go offroad and your definition of offroad is “going into the mountains sometime” not, “I need something with xx inches of suspension travel, lockers, and a solid axle”.

I thought of a great business idea - someone prints out those instructions for you and charges you a nominal fee.

Half the forum posts are wrong and just random guesses from people. The Hayes manual has a page with a huge list of common torque values which is so much faster.

I’m not saying the aftermarket books are perfect but forums are full of misinformation.

yeah I just bought a Clymer two days ago to rebuild my KLR top end.

I’d say the automatic take rate being 80% is probably due to most of these being purchased by rental outfits in vacation areas.

I live in SoCal ride dirt bikes every weekend and I see maybe 1000 Wrangler and 1000 4Runners/Tacomas for anything else.

This is barely modified and it costs nothing dude. It’s some bolt on parts, a piggyback controller and a turbo. You ever wrenched on a car? You could drive this for a year to screw around with it, reverse all this in a weekend if you wanted to and probably sell off the parts and make a profit.

Nobody buys these to use offroad. They buy them because they want a CUV but one that can go offroad as an added bonus.

Is this a good deal? Not at the price listed so sorta CP although cars aren’t $1500 anymore despite everyone believing so for some reason. But everyone is trashing the guy just because he modified a Dart.

I hate the users of this site so much. No fun ever. Modify a car yourself? How dare you. All mods must be performed by daddy magnus walker in a hip tasteful hipster style.

Did he buy it used? Thousands have been fixed with common aftermarket parts just because the value of the vehicle exceeds the work involved.

They get pretty good mileage if you drive them normally vs a gas truck from the same era.

People want adventure bikes. Why buy a sport tourer when you can buy an adventure bike that does the same thing but also can do dirt roads a lot better? Plus you can get all sorts of mid-size sport bikes.

Every Facebook group is like that which is why they are so worthless. The algorithm promotes stupid questions because they get the most engagement. So if someone asks “what oil do I use” people either start posting either whatever random brand they use, random memes or angry posts. Either way they get a ton more

I got passed by a supercar going 120+ in the shoulder around Calabasas. My truck got hit by a bunch of rocks and debris.

I live in Los Angeles and see supercars routinely ripping down the freeway at triple digit speeds in giant packs almost every weekend. Weaving in and out of traffic like crazy.

I know the electric infastructure has a way to go but one thing I hear about ALL THE TIME (live in West Los Angeles have friends that own electric cars) is how many of the chargers are routinely non-functional. Like, you’ll detour a ton of miles, find one and it will be broken. Or you need to unplug and plug it in a

Don’t give that junk pet names

The 3.0 V6 gets like 6+mpg less and the 4.0 V6 is junk.
