Everytime a thread talks about David being a bad tenant I laugh. You don’t even know what a bad tenant is. Single guy, car hobby, has a job, literal dream tenant. Yeah, there’s some junk around the backyard but it all gets moved around and he even helps his neighbor out occasinoally.

I wouldn’t be surprised if/when Audi replaces the R8 Toyota doesn’t try to slide in and make a version for themselves as well and stick a Lexus badge on it. Then they got low, middle, high covered and can continue pumping out Camry’s and RX’s. Build appliances, please enthusiasts, and make sports cars viable for just

If you consider the RC F a sports car then they still do.

Only one but following his progress on it made me suspect of any “cheap” German car. His dad drives around in a two stroke German car or his “reliable” combi, that’s how dedicated these guys are. When HE gives up on a car you know it’s a PITA.

Yup, the old $1,500 944 money pit trap. I see tons of them around.

Do you ever talk with anyone from MotorTrend? It would be hilarious to see you on Dirt Every Day

Equal riders dude.

If you’re going to go to all that trouble why not do it right? Doesn’t even take that much more cost/effort.

The value in these things were how cheap they were. You could get it’s platform-mate the Patriot for less than $20,000. So when you are at a dealership and you can get a compact like a Corolla or a Cobalt or an actual SUV with a bunch of room in the back you understand why these were so popular.

Have you ridden one? A GSXR750 from the late 80's/early 90's would dominate your Griso on a track. Any MG is not a bad bike but it’s not a race level bike. I think you highly underestimate how good what was basically a homologated race bike is verses a shaft drive street cruiser.

GSXR1100 - puts out 140HP stock. If you want to get into it those are technically oil/air cooled but a Griso isn’t even in the realm of 1980s Suzuki tech who pushed air cooling longer / harder than anyone.

There’s only so much power you can get out of a air cooled engine. Tollerances and compression can’t be too tight/high as you are limited by surface area for cooling. This has adequate power for what it is.

400lbs for a cruisery street bike is pretty damn light if that’s the wet weight. That’s about how much a 600cc supersport weighs.

I don’t fully understand how a tiny manufacturer such as Alta had any proprietary tech worth buying that isn’t on the market, say from Panasonic or Samsung or Delphi.

I don’t understand who is buying all these 3 row SUV’s. Everyone I know can’t afford kids and the ones that do have 1 max.

Yeah, I hate when people crap on other’s creativity. It’s like unless you’re a pro company building an “outlaw” Porsche (or whatever the current rich guy California trend is) for some aging trust fund guy you can’t build a custom car.

You need new friends.

Nobody is embarrassed to drive a normal Toyota sedan dude

The Prius has zero environmental cred/baggage anymore except among meme-ing car enthusiasts. People just drive it for gas mileage or it’s used for taxi duty. It’s basically the 2019 Camry in California.

Celebrities haven’t been driving Prius’ for like 15 years.
