I would assume you would be OK without winter tires in NYC. It’s not on a huge hillside like Duluth and you can take public transportation when things get real bad I assume. Maybe not, I’ve never lived there.

Toyota has a great CPO warranty, minimal model variations and huge inventory so it’s easy to shop between dealers.
Yeah but then you have a hot turbo adding a buttload of heat to the engine compartment.
That’s not Malibu bruh.
The Station Fire was a lot worse IMO. This seemed like a typical Malibu fire. In the 70's there was a fire that ran from PCH to Newhall Pass. There are a lot more freeways, roads and buildings in the way now.
Malibu burns periodically. This is nothing new unless you’re a transplant whose never been through a bad California fire season.
Speaking from experience, everyone Jalop wants a car with “character” until they need to go to regular cancer treatments, make it to work every day in order to keep their insurance and the hundred other little things we need to do to survive in a apathetic world.
Is the TRD filter supposed to be oiled? The problem with some of these K&N filters is that people don’t know to oil them and they don’t filter very well without the oil. The oil IS the filter. Dirt bikes have oiled filters from the factory because they are used only in dirty, dusty conditions.
Not doubting you but did you oil the K&N filter? Might just be oil residue.
Pretty sure they get kickbacks for plugging those import companies.
Lol at “overlanding.” Every rich tech bro in Playa Vista is into that. We used to call it “camping.”
If one of these Chinese companies built a OG Cherokee/4Runner solid axle type truck I guarantee there would be an instant market. Plus no Chicken Tax since it’s a ‘passenger vehicle’
I live a quarter mile away from the freeway and I can hear sport bikes absolutely drowning out the rest of the traffic. You must not live in a place where people mod sport bikes.
These companies could break into the market by providing something no one else offers. Bring back a solid axle Suzuki Samurai offroader maybe? Or a mid-engine JDM-style coupe with a 1L engine? A mini-sized Kei minivan. Instead they sell crossovers puting them head to head with every other car company. Worked for Kia…
HD bikes aren’t very loud stock. It’s just idiot owners make them loud, same thing squid sport bike owners do.
Dentist car. Mid-50's. McMansion. Subscriber to Consumer Reports. Owns one of those luxury aluminum fridges and a Bose sound system in his house somewhere.
I agree with you to a certain extent. I had a Suzuki DR200 and it was stressful when you had to jump on a high-volume city street. In my little residential town it was fun but anytime I had to cross into Los Angeles it was a bummer. Had to rag on it to keep up with traffic. And mine was jetted with the baffle removed.
Maybe no worse in theory but it makes you look like a huge tool.
This doesn’t prove anything about the Ridgeline other than that tube-framing a vehicle looks cool.
Oh man the $500 thing...I bought a non-functional Suzuki Katana that hadn’t been on the road for 25 years for $150 and put that down as the purchase price. DMV person gave me the biggest eye roll and I was like “That’s what I paid, I swear!!”
