Revelations is More Assassins Creed 2. If you’re already into Assassins Creed 2 and like Ezio, you’ll probably like it. I thought the music was great and there’s a bit near the end that’s a fun use of gameplay mechanics but I’m still salty that Malik (AC1) is Sir Not Appearing in These Revelations.
Finishing up Far: Lone Sails, which is just gorgeous. I could ride in that little sailcar forever. Probably try to clear out at least one more short game this weekend, probably A Case of Distrust or The World Next Door.
It’s funny to hear Baten Kaitos mentioned along with EarthBound/Mother. BK was a great series with great visuals, and burying the excellent sequel/prequel at the end of the GameCube’s life cycle was a real shame.
I’d love it if Pocket Card Jockey or Crimson Shroud came to the Switch. Until then, the 3DS stays with me.
On paper, for risk-averse executives, this must look like the greatest idea ever. Take something that was already a hit, add moar celebrities - PROFIT!
AC: Brotherhood was compulsively playable and beautiful, although I could never say exactly why. Probably my favorite AC game. I will be looking forward to hearing more about this.
I can almost hear Red Dead Redemption 2 making a little judgemental coughing noise every time I fire something short and simple up on the Switch.
Or that System Shock updated version that had to go back to zero after the devs got inspired to go beyond scope despite no one asking for it.
not have to answer to people for which I have little respect.
you can try having bits of it and see if you even like it.
You should definitely try matzo ball soup. It is delicious.
What this meant is that the people who were there the longest had almost completely given up on filing high severity bugs.
“... But the explicit phrasing was that you were not supposed to interact with or talk to them. Which was very strange to me.”
Whoever this is, they grew up with video games, with arcades and all the rest of it - if they were 9 in 1980 that puts them in one of the the first real video game generations, since they would have been 14 or so when the Nintendo came out, with the Atari already a household name.
I don’t think this game was made with Frostbite. Apelegs wasn’t Frostbite either. So we’re still seeing Respawn as mostly Respawn, and the next game will be indicative of Respawn under EA.
I don’t have a problem with this particular protagonist, but when I think about really good character design, I think about something like the various NPC’s in Horizon Zero Dawn, where the world and the various cultures were all represented in they way they dressed and the decorations they wore. It gave a great sense…
Respawn has some goodwill to burn. SW isn’t my favorite franchise but since it’s Respawn it’s worth a go.
I am still just baffled by the decision to cancel Scalebound. Without fail, if that game comes up someone will mention “I would have bought an XBox if only...”
Nowhere Prophet, Jul 19th. It’s not a AAA release, but it’s
