I think it’s that grand myth of ‘good girls don’t (except they really do).’ Only ‘contemptible’ women actually enjoy being sexual people, so that’s not how you define ‘sexy’. Any ‘good’ woman would protest and look upset - but secretly she wants it, of course.

BD was... ok. Nothing like Persona 4 levels of good, but my experience wasn’t as bad as Kasparius’ - I liked it enough to try the sequel, which was occasionally charming.
Oh, that’s so disappointing. I was really looking forward to this one but it sounds like it has all the standard JRPG narrative problems after all. A shame.

I’m guessing video game bars, especially retro-focused ones, didn’t exist at the time the original laws were made. Unfortunately, I doubt anyone in charge cares enough to consider changing or updating the laws, given that it’s such a small number of people that are ultimately affected.
What a damn shame. It seems ridiculous that, as mentioned in the article, companies can’t figure out some kind of agreement with businesses like this for some sort of licensing fee. Everybody makes money, everybody gets to keep gaming. Cracking down seems incredibly short-sighted for no actual gain.
