Oh man, I’m sorry you didn’t like it so much. I went there. a couple of years ago and thought it was just stunning. Like a big green sea just hanging there in the sky. So peaceful.

I love the bizarre, fetishistic clothing in Neir: Automata. I think it absolutely complements the role that 2B and 9S have as puppets suffering in a game they don’t entirely understand, aware something is wrong but unable to escape. Objectification is one of the cornerstones of the narrative.
Like you said, considering things like this make for better games. Not being able to interact in any meaningful way with the dragon in Lair made it little different than an object, which really helped cut down on any interest in the world.

Basic business still seems to lead more to indie companies continuing to put out games I want to buy instead of online experiences they want to sell me.

Damn, that last screenshot is so beautiful. I love photo modes and I hope the level designers and modelers get a little extra boost of pride from getting to see people enjoying their hard work.
