So if I pay $120 a month, I can get a free streaming service with ads? A bargain. And who says monopolies are bad for consumers? Having only one internet provider is working out great for me.

Yeah, not giving a cent to Peacock. Either streaming services have to all get cheaper, or some of them have to lose. I’m hoping NBC or some network gets smart and makes a deal with Netflix, Amazon, etc. People can add Peacock for a buck or two a month. Then they don’t have to run and advertise their own streaming.
Yes. It comes from people on the left, too. There are accelerationists, who somehow think letting the country fall apart quickly will somehow lead people to wake up and fix everything. It’s about the stupidest thing possible to think, and completely ignores history or common sense. But they believe it.
The President isn’t magic. They can’t do whatever they want with an executive order. Our government was designed that way because we didn’t want kings to have all the power. The executive branch can’t change the rules of the Senate. Only the Senate can change the rules of the Senate.
G’Day Roach!
You don’t need technology. All it will take is money. You need people/companies to take responsibility. Not very likely.
Were her racist tweets actually as a teenager, or was that just a generic statement? I remember a lot of kids in college that came from all white backgrounds that woke up to their own racism and made changes to their lives. That’s one of the things education is for.
Managers will come running if you try to do something that risks liability. But I’ve climbed shelves before, or grabbed the rolling stairs that are clearly marked as only for employees and the regular floor people do the same thing they always do at the orange box or the blue box - they avoid eye contact and scurry…
The first part of 2 (spelling isn’t critical thinking, although we sure do need more focus on critical thinking), some of 3, and a whole lot of lowered standards in “journalism”.
Emoting doesn’t always entail a bunch of sound and fury, even in action movies.
I think we need to define some terms. If we’re talking about the same cast coming back, then that’s a continuation. Probably a bad idea if the show had a good run and an ending. Shows that got unceremoniously cancelled getting picked up a couple years later could work.
You couldn’t reboot Taxi. You’d have to call it Uberlyft and there would be a lot more vomit and sexual assault.
If you rushed to deflect from the possibility that right wing rhetoric was behind this attack, you have to ask yourself why you felt the need to do that. Why was it so important to try to flood every comments section and every social media site with anything at all to make it seem as though right wing rhetoric didn’t…
It doesn’t affect my life. It’s not my business. My opinion is meaningless. Yet I feel compelled to say it.
There are two possible theories for why plants have suddenly shut down right before the midterms.
I think no matter how you try to spin it, what most men are going to see is a woman in the bunny costume, and it’s going to be Hefner’s vision of what that means. Probably time to let it go.
The election in just under two weeks is absolutely the most important election of anyone’s lifetime. It may be one of the most important elections in the history of the country.
There has never been evidence that ghosts exist. There has been evidence that all sorts of things cause hallucinations, and that sometimes people have a hard time telling the difference between being awake and dreaming and don’t notice the transition from one to another.
Things to know for everyone.
