Obama didn’t give the compromises to Republicans. He gave them to Joe Lieberman, the “independent” Senator from Connecticut who received most of his campaign donations from private insurance companies, and a few other Democrat Senators who were similar.

I agree that Democratic voter turnout was typical. That’s the problem. We need more people to turn out every year. Young people talk a lot about old people screwing up the country, but they don’t vote as much as older people do.
