I do think it’s actually a cool project idea that I’d want to do myself (or a variant thereof). It’s not about it being “easier than pouring” (because that’s not the fucking point).

Granted, I most definitely would not use cardboard - probably wood, or maybe some kind of 3D printed plastic casing.

I knew from the title alone that somebody would prove themselves incapable of letting go of that moment. Can’t say I’m surprised. Don’t want to risk a moment going by where we can’t insult the guy, can we?

It’s all fine and good not to participate, but attempting to make participants look like outdated idiots is pretty pointless. Fact is, many of them keep doing it because it’s enjoyable and not the horror story often lovingly shared by some people every year in order to stand out and get attention.

I’m FAR less likely to use a gift that requires approval or confirmation from the giver like this. It feels way more awkward than just having a card you can use.
