I’m of the same age. I knew plenty of Kavanaugh types. Occasionally smart in classwork, uninteresting pinheads in private life. They’d brag about kegs, girls, sports and parties involving kegs and girls. Often two-faced, friendly public face when talking to girls, but among just guys they’d often refer to women

This entire post would be hilarious. And yet here this chucklefuck is, possibly getting confirmed to the goddamn Supreme Court.

I hate seeing these women sitting in these interviews. This is his problem not hers.

I’m really conflicted about this guy.

These guys weren’t any different than other boys high schools across the country”

“I was focused on trying to be number one in my class and being captain of the varsity basketball team, doing service projects and going to church.”

Not to distract from the topic but wow this collection of quotes really illustrates Trump’s cognitive decline. Even when he’s talking about the same thing. Consider:

I read a comment a while back that said, basically, “If you look at American politics like a game of chess, Republicans have set the house on fire, and Democrats are still sitting at the table trying to be polite and play by the rules.” I think that’s painfully, depressingly apt, and it shows no chance of changing any

Trump wants Kavanaugh because he thinks the president should be free from criminal prosecution. Republicans want him because he’s the tie-breaking vote when they inevitably attempt to repeal Roe v Wade. Oh, and he will rule in favor of corporations whenever corps vs workers cases come up.

Because they can’t get anyone else confirmed before midterms and they are afraid of the voters.

“No one with a daughter has ever engaged in any kind of sexually-inappropriate behavior against a woman, or been a sexist!”

There are two arguments to be considered here:

The first is that it is incumbent upon the Senate to hear out any and all potential concerns surrounding a SCOTUS nominee, be they nominated by a Republican or Democratic President (or a third party, at some point in the future—though if we’re honest with ourselves, the

Clearly it’s not the first time he’s refused to withdraw.

It is worth reading the last one about the kid in the classroom. It’s the only one that had me cackling like a madman. We’ve all been that kid.
