Also fair point — I do think it’ll be interesting to see the arguments people make. Raw device numbers are one thing, but the amount of money Apple controls within those raw devices is much larger than their competitors — 32% of the revenue, but 66% of the profit! I can see that argument being made for sure.

I mean, I understand the whole “Epic isn’t your friend here either” but Joe Blow doesn’t have the money to fight Apple in court, or lobby for a lawmaker who’s already got a hard on for Apple’s anti-repair-planned-obselence-but-software-locked stuff. Epic... does.

It’s more than Fortnite though. Hell, it’s more than *gaming.*

In the US, Apple is is 40% of the market, which is larger than any single other manufacturer, which is what lawmakers care about. All of the companies involved here are US companies. Global marketshare doesn’t matter.

This is a lot of corporate positioning. Microsoft, Epic, Facebook, and Google are all building their case to file an anti-competitive lawsuit against Apple. I wouldn’t be shocked if Basecamp (Hey! email app) is part of it too.

I’m curious about the right’s deal that was signed with Universal Pictures that makes the game — based on the comics and not the movie — their purview at all. That’s on the publisher, not Ubisoft.

Could the bald man... could he be... GAVINNNNNNNNN?

Fuck Apple, bring the anti-competitive lawsuit.

Hey TikTok folks — You have about 45 days to get your 18+ audience to register to vote and get this orange fucker out of office.

They are, the question is if Microsoft wants to bother. xCloud is a value-add service for Xbox, which is a sub business unit within Microsoft. Nadella doesn’t care enough about Xbox to use Office365 for Mac/iOS as a cudgel here.

Yep, that’s the “reader” distinction Apple makes for them — A distinction they refused to extend to Hey! email app. Basecamp wasn’t big enough to fight Apple on it and had to submit a “free” version.

Spotify and Netflix both are allowed but do not pay the cut. Apple considers them “reader” apps. I would argue those apps are much closer to xCloud and Stadia than anything else, they’re just big enough to force Apple to make an exception.

Note that the response does not control for black sarcasm.

Bring on the anti-trust inquiry!

I think it’s implied that neither Dutch nor Hosea were the men we meet in the game in THEIR youth. Dutch was, at some point, nicer, fatherly, and did things like teach Arthur and the others to read, swim, things he likely would not have done if he just wanted a stooge when he got older and were somewhat uncommon at

Globally, the Golf does dominate and it is both cheap and sensible (though it comes in both expensive and crazy). The just don’t sell the cheap ones in the US.

I mean, You can also control them via the stalk in a Model S and the scroll balls in the Model 3 so....

I’m reasonably confident I know that girl?

It’s Apple that’s blocking the app, not Microsoft.

I’m not buying it at all if this is the case, because fuck both sides that agreed to this deal.
