The “it’s never going to be worth as much as it is right now” statement is something I’ve heard for 40 years, and you know, it’s not any more true now than it was in 1982 when our neighbors sold their house for $135,000 and bought out in the sticks. The house they sold is worth close to 2 million and I’m positive the

Selling off unneeded assets to pay off debt isn’t a terrible idea.

Water was 5' but how deep was the silty mud?  Could have cushioned the blow substantially.

You might want to read Jonathan McDowell on Twitter. An astrophysicist who is possibly the foremost expert on orbital junk (at least the foremost expert who posts in public). He compliments the Chinese on the things they do right (some perigee lowering techniques they use for some of their spacecraft), but also

Our torque standards calls for a reduction of 20% when using neverseize.  It's based on the K factor versus lubed with light oil.

Who can resist a fake Ford F150?

Long March Core Booster uses Liquid Oxygen and Kerosene. Are these major carcinogens?

This feels like what people I know have experienced.
My friends and family are pretty prosperous midwesterners with real jobs and enough money to buy houses, but the cars just seem so *expensive* that none of us can justify buying new.
I’m driving a 2017 C-Max because it’s the only thing I found under 40K where I don’t

This is going to happen, like dominoes falling, in a bunch of industries. They’re all going to look around and suddenly realize that they’ve destroyed their own consumer base by sending jobs overseas, not paying living wages, and not supporting initiatives like a public option for healthcare.

There’s gonna be a point where subscriptions will become too much, leading to someone to say “why don’t we just bundle all the shows together into a package” and call it cable...wait.

I run my torque wrench at it’s lowest setting, let it just barely clatter, and then follow up with the torque wrench. Works well for me.

They also see that people under 54 are a minority of the ones buying new vehicles, so they are shifting to what older car buyers want and pump up the prices accordingly.

Frankly, I’m not sure there really is a large pool of “car people” out there anymore. The new generations coming up have every facet of their life being a “service” and those services nickel and diming their supplemental income to where they don’t often have the capital to have exposure that fosters interest. Even

Then it makes no sense to give away parking spots to EV’s when they could get money for them.

This is apples and oranges comparison. You’re comparing the normal electric discharge energy of the battery to the thermal combustion energy of gasoline. In this case we’re talking about the thermal combustion energy of the battery. It is normally equal to or greater than what’s in your tank of gas.

I’ll take “scenarios that are accurate, but not realistically in play for someone that can’t purchase a $20K toy that's going to have high upkeep costs without financing it” for $200, Alex.

Sometimes, those people are right. This is one of those times.

I’m the farthest thing from a “pay cash for everything” guy, but even I run into my limits at “How can I get a loan of over 100% of book value for a 25 year old Honda?”

987.2 and 997.2 got the direct injection engine with no IMS. that was 2009 in the US.

Last time I drove one of these V10s I got a whole 10 mpg no matter what I did.
