Yeah I find games that do this actually make me less interested as it comes across as “We put in an almost naked hot chick give us money”.

I always thought Toyota and Honda were smarter than the EV Evangelists. They didn’t abandon the small car market like Ford did too. I’m still sitting out the car market. Dealers with desirable cars are still charging market adjustments.
There’s big difference between being the primary motivator on a car and having to work across a fairly wide RPM range and load and being used as stationary generators always running at the same RPM and probably the same load.
In the meantime, the company’s in talks with Panasonic to squander away the batteries it needs.
I’d suggest what prompted it is comparing a real DSV to a toy someone made in their back yard. Waivers won’t protect the company if they can prove negligence. I expect them to get sued out of existence.
No defense. The point is most of the perps are the paying customers who come and go. To me that suggests the problem is more the passengers than the crew. So claiming the cruise lines aren’t doing enough might be disingenuous. They get a brand new set of criminals on board every time they reload.
Make it a public list with a consistent mechanism to appeal appearing on the list and I’d be fine with it.
If there’s opportunity, it’s going to happen. I imagine being crew on one of these floating disease factories filled with entitled people is miserable at best. It probably attracts the best employees.
I’ve been thinking since Covid that we should restrict air travel to foreign destinations. Or lock it down and require some more through screening. We had 2 years of hell because a disease in China was brought to the US. Covid was mild compared to some epidemics. It’s a warning sign that maybe we need to maintain some…
It’s a money making scheme more than anything. They probably don’t really need to be calibrated every month. You’re just not in a position to complain while you’re being punished.
It’s 1/3rd of car deaths. So 10,000 deaths a year are from booze. 20,000 people die a year from guns. 35,000 from the flu. Basically drinking related cars deaths are a relatively low number.
We put people in prison for long stints for drugs. Why not do the same to drunk drivers? Give them one chance before throwing the book at them on subsequent arrests.
What will the car do if it’s removed? Just sit there dead in the water? I’ll have to buy cars that are easy to hack around this.
They’ve already ruined air-travel. I guess driving is next. I’m looking forward to the arms race between hackers and car companies. With EV’s coming, the EPA won’t have shit to say about hacking on cars because it won’t impact emissions anymore.
You can do things with these cars you can’t with a modern car. One time I filled up the tank on my Karman Ghia and 1/2 of the fluid was water. I made it over a bridge where it died. Was able to empty the tank on the side of the road, take the carb off and empty it, then push the car to another gas station for fresh…
Just more “Happy Meal” like junk to throw away.
The game was terrible, is still terrible but there’s always someone to defend it.
I keep trying to replay it. The game slowly makes me hate it again. Car rides you can’t shortcut. Pompous exposition by bit characters who are soon to die. People you’re supposed to know and like who you don’t and who are unlikable. I have a hard time liking most of the characters in this game. It make it hard to…
Same. I still work on my cars. Wife gets the newest cars. I drive beaters to this day.
This is very “Ford”. Someone internally probably already reported this up the line but they said “Ship it” anyway.
