The question is how much money Subaru makes selling our driving details to advertisers. If the money they would make exceeds the cost of developing the portal, they’ll make a portal. I suspect that the cost of making the portal exceeds the value of selling out their customers. If more states do this, that math might

Manufacturers and dealers still get to collect data on cars, but they don’t get to be the only ones who can read it.

The high beltlines of most of today’s vehicles make it really hard for her to see out of a newer vehicle.

This study found that the biggest factor that turned people off EVs was convenience

I’m surprised someone hasn’t already done it. It’s a public crime. I don’t have a problem with a public shaming. Should try to shame the parents too for inflicting this dangerous asshole on the rest of us.

It’s a fine toy but toy is all it is.  Doesn’t seem much better than a conventional ultralite.

No real shock. It’s a GM from the ‘90s.

This is probably what I’ll end up doing. Or gifting my house to my son then moving into an old-folks style apartment.

My dad moved into a “Dodge Sprinter” based motor home. Smaller than this but big enough for a single person to live in. He used it to travel around and visit us from time to time. Construction quality, like most motor homes was pretty dismal.

2004 Far cry is best far cry. It was pioneering in it’s day. Barely ran on then current hardware. I’d rate Primal much higher too.

I have yet to see an aluminum car rust out the way a steel bodied car will. I agree salt is bad but, some cars don’t seem to be impacted by it.

They’re made out of aluminum so, there’s not much to rust.

So unless you’re wealthy, you can’t question the taste of wealthy people’s decisions?  That’s pretty snobby.  The wheels are terrible.

Wasn’t too many year ago, you could pick one up for $35K. I wish I’d bought one then. Today many are pushing $100K+.

Those hideous things really stand out...

I certainly blame the driver for killing those two people. Tesla shares the blame though for effectively handing a loaded gun to someone who doesn’t know how to use it.

OR, and here me out here, why not hold people responsible and throw the book at them instead.

I’d limit it to 20 over the posted limit. Or maybe scale it.  20 over at 70. 10 over at 40, 5 over at 20.

If you hand a gun to someone and they shoot someone with it. You don’t think you’re responsible at some level? Tesla handed a 1000 hp, 5500lb rocket to people with no training in handling that kind of power. Not that many race cars make that kind of power.

The Japanese do it with the GPS. When you’re on the track the governor is turned off.
