I believe H2 would be a better fit for out current infrastructure too.  H2 still isn’t practical but EV’s are. For the affluent any. I’m not counting H2 out yet.

I always find the Pollyanna comments from the EV crowd to be disingenuous for exactly this reason. They act like it’s trivial to plant EV chargers everywhere whereas anyone not drinking the cool-aid knows it’s an expensive process that require extensive changes to pretty much everything.

China is also committing mass genocide in the Xinjiang province against Uighur Muslims

I wonder about this too. Most of the people avoiding the vaccine have already been vaccinated in the past.  I’m wondering what changed now to make them turn away from something they’ve already done.

It’s happening whether we talk about it or not. It’s the un-vaccinated that are mostly dying in this resurgence. Considering how Delta supposedly spreads much easier, the die off is going to accelerate. We’re starting to think it might be time for booster shots here.

Your freedom to swing your fists ends when they intersect with someone’s face. Meaning freedom isn’t absolute. You’re not free to spread diseases. You’re free not to be vaccinated and your company is free so say “no vaccine, don’t bother coming in”.

they would sort this out without getting lawyers involved under normal circumstsances.

It’s impossible to teach a man something when his job depends on not knowing”

There’s more of a straight line between the CIA and US weapons that ISIS came to possess than we’ve been led to believe in the press,

You have to be old to understand that reference.... I loved Crusader though. Then again I’m old.

I’d argue there’s a fundamental difference between funding our own brand of terrorist and being careless about leaving our toys for others to play with. I’m skeptical the intent wasn’t to arm ISIS, it just happened to happen. I imagine the identity of these “terrorists” was pretty fluid so, one day they’re the “Syrian

Why should the dealer hand her a new car?

She deserves a no hassle solution. She handed the dealer a perfect car and the dealer hands back a totaled car with a “sorry”. They gave her a loaner for 2 weeks which cost them nothing.

Certainly the Iraq invasion caused ISIS to exist. Isis was mostly made up of the Iraqi military we fired and left unemployed after the invasion.   I suspect TJ is confusing ISIS with the insurgents we actually funded in Syria.

It’s funny you say that. I was just trying to figure out why the government mandated “canbus” as the underlying protocol for all cars sold since 2008. I can’t find anything about it. Why would the government care as long as all manufacturers support OBD2?

The question is whether this “pledge” is legally binding. Dealers lie to me, I have no issues lying back. “Sure I’m going to keep this financing and extended warranty”, then pay it off and cancel as soon as I can.

Honestly, getting lawyers and the media involved is kind of a dick move when the simple and logical move is to utilize the company you’re paying premiums to.

Now playing

Steve Lehto did a feature on this on YT. He says it’s really state dependent. Some states require the dealer to take responsibility for cars left with them some states don’t. You’re paying your insurance company to go to bat for you in situations like this. I’d rather let them do it than try to amateur lawyer it

Once they all die off, the problem will solve itself.
