Yeah you get older and your perspective changes.

I’m with you. I don’t get why people want to save something like this. Take a picture then move on. They’ve left it to rot so now the cost to refurbish is probably more than they can ever get out of it as a tourist trap. Time to scrap it.

Drag it off and scrap it. Most of the people who actually cared about it are dead already.

even with the TC turned off it will cut throttle pretty quick.

So you want to compare camry econo tires to BRZ econos? I’ve been on track with the older BRZ/FRS’s. They do respectively well. Better than the older Miatas. I’m not clear on how they compare to the newer up-powered miatas.

What drove me away from the last gen BRZ was the crappy interior. I’ll have to check out the new one.  0-60 in 6 seconds is plenty fast.

Ugh I hate sunroofs.

No way. The difference in weight would kill the Camry in corners and under braking. The BRZ at 2800lbs has the same size front brakes as the Camry at at least 3200lbs. The base Camry weights 420 lbs more than the BRZ. The V6 even more. The Camry has no LSD so coming out of a corner the inside wheel would simply spin

It doesn’t matter how or why they’re winning. The fact is they’re winning, that’s what matters.  The Chinese are moving forward while we just flounder.

This is how I see it too. They’re moving forward on all fronts while we’re just floundering and crying foul. We have no plan for the future of the US.

It’s not mythology.

Rubbed me the wrong way too. Instead of “what great parents I have” it’s a whiny complaint. Pilot should probably be on timing belt number 2 by now. Get it done it it’s not been done. It’s miles OR TIME.

Trying to finding a good mechanic is like trying to find a good cop. They’re out there but the probability is if you just randomly pick, you’re going to get a bad one. It’s good that organizations have someone re-checking the work.

maximum possible punishment on people they see belong to the wrong tribe.

I don’t know. There seem to be a bunch of normally level headed people who seem to want to see blood because this woman wasn’t a nice person. She deserves punishment, which she might not get if she’s got money. She doesn’t deserve to spend 1/4 of her life in prison. Hell, I don’t want to pay to house her in prison.

The fantasy of deterrence. It’s how they sell these long prison sentences here in the US. It’s not going to deter anyone. Tomorrow this story will be forgotten. The fact we have so many people in prison, makes my point for me.

This is a typically American take. She punched someone in the face. On the ground that might get you probation or a year in jail. I’d be fine with a permanent flying ban and a less draconian punishment.

How do you think the US ended up with the largest prison population in the world? Rich people get off because they have good lawyers while the poor languish in prison.   So her time in prison will be determined by how much money she has.  If she’s just some regular schlub, she’s probably toast.

There’s a difference between buying a car across the country then driving there to repair it and have some general shenanigans versus right before a critical ferry ride, climb under your car to do an optional thing that could potentially prevent him from making the ferry ride. An optional thing he could always do at

What I gather from this story is that David has a terrible impulse control problem. Idea’s pop into his head and he just does them on the spot without considering that even a small problem could derail his trip. I mean why disconnect the sway before you get on the ferry. The ferry ride was probably gating the whole
