You picked the wrong thing out of my comment.

OTOH - Missouri is trying to lower the age for concealed carry of fire arms from 21 to 18, to maybe the majority of Missouri drivers, aka voters, deserve whatever they get.

Modern BMW you pop the hood and connection you charger to the front charge points.  BMW has put the battery in the trunk for years and for years have had a front jump/charge point under the hood.  I’m not clear, can you still unlock a Land Rover with the key?

Yeah. I don’t like it but I don’t see anything wrong with it.

None of that justifies dealer markups though.

Sure, one could say the same about a fiat dollar, but I put a lot more faith and credit into the promises of the US government (and ultimately the US military) than some crypto bros on the internet.

Musk said that Tesla would now not be accepting bitcoin, because Musk says he is worried about the environment and bitcoin uses a lot of energy.

My take as well. That answer is easy enough to understand though. It’s cheap. It’s cheaper than running your own network, running your own dedicated data lines. Still I see no reason a business needs to allow internet access for anything.

I agree that Moore’s law is mostly dead. We’re running into the limits of physics but, Intel is 5 years behind, not because of Moore’s law but because they put their money in the wrong place. They didn’t anticipate that AMD who had been a laughing stock would come back so strong powered by TMSC’s chip making. Intel

Sure but there’s no real winning, your choice between the two is ultra-bland or kinda ugly.

It’s not just looks. It’s practical things like parts availability too. Good luck finding OEM parts for that thing. I’m sure you can keep it going with rock-auto parts but then you’re not going to have Toyota reliability anymore.

Haha just thinking about them running away from creditors in their RV... It’s like a TV series. Each week they could meet different celebrities also on the run from their creditors.  It would be a very American TV series.

I’d be fine with start/stop if it was implemented differently. Say turn off after the engine was idle for 30 seconds to a minute. The one on the RDX will stop at every stop sign or stopping to make a left of right turn. More than once I’ve needed a spurt of power to slot into traffic and it’s not there because I’d

For me even $7k is high. It IS 30 years old. There’s just nothing special about this car. It’s not that attractive, not fast, not fun.

I agree with the gist of your comment but, Intel’s fall is completely attributable to stock buy backs and financial engineering instead of spending on real engineering and basic R&D which would have kept them at the cutting edge. There’s nothing TMSC can do that Intel couldn’t do as well or better. If nobody could

Agreed, we don’t have one. Our checking accounts are simply temporary pools of capital we keep on hand for paying off our credit card every month. I know it loses value every month but doing something else with it short term seems like a hassle.

The thing is...they are fine...they’re easily making ends meet,

I am simply just about out of new cars I have any interest in buying.

You can’t realize the disappointment of seeing a company like Intel. A company that dominated the world of CPU’s to fall 5 years behind because the company is run by MBA’s instead of scientists. The same thing is happening at Boeing.
