I really enjoyed the opening tag match and the 6-man tag to end the show. I was also glad that Sami got the big win, especially after him getting punked out by Corbin the past few weeks. Also, my wife is seriously in love with Breezango at this point - they're by far her favorite part of the show. I loved catching the

It's an odd addition that doesn't really add much. It reminds me of the weirdly mistimed pyro they use in AJ Styles entrance, where it doesn't seem to fit any sort of beat in the music.

I'm giving you a standing ovation at my desk.

And my point is that if he worked with a developer who knew better at how to craft a decent story themselves, it may not have gone so far off the rails.

No. They mostly came either early in their respective consoles lifecycles or roughly halfway through.

The cutscenes were handled by a company called D-Rockets, which is Team Ninja's CG team.

King Hippo came down on some health problems, hence his sudden onset of blue skin. The recruiter felt bad for him.

Yes, however Team Ninja handled development of the game itself, and had to implement said story, when it's never been a strong suit of theirs. While the story obviously had its problems, a developer with more experience on that end would have stood a chance of improving it, or implementing it better into the game.

And same engines since the beginning, and a couple of shared enemies too.

Other M's struggles definitely had more to do with Team Ninja not really having a lot of decent storytelling experience than it did with how it played. I was a fan of how it mixed up different camera perspectives and gameplay styles.

I was a fan of what MercurySteam did with Lords of Shadow under Kojima Productions supervision, too. I think they'll pull this off well based on the trailer alone.

Kid Icarus and Metroid, oddly linked, forever in time.

I don't think its that people didn't like Metroid 2 when it came out, just that I don't think a lot of Game Boy entries of Nintendo's IPs maintained the same enthusiasm over time, with the exceptions being Pokemon and Link's Awakening.

I personally loved both 3DS games, and I'm glad they're making a game in that style on an HD console.

Mario Odyssey is looking like my dream Mario game. I cannot wait until October!

After my stunning disappointment in last night's Sony presser, I'm glad to see some great stuff out of Nintendo today. Two new Metroid games coming with the Samus Returns remake and Prime 4, a new Kirby game coming to Switch, and the amazing looking Super Mario Odyssey made my day today.

It's the only console I invested in an arcade stick for.

Arc System Works are goddamn wizards.

If you like fighting games at all, the Dreamcast was heaven.

Jade Empire is an underrated game. I hope they get that one running, too!
