I don’t want to live while this exists
GET. OVER. IT.
Yeah I was thinking this as I read the article. Like - what is the author’s voice here? The title suggested ‘La Toya was right all along and maybe we should have listened and isn’t that a little bit sad’, but the content of the article is much bitchier, snipier and cutting, still basically alluding that La Toya still…
DEV: So we want to make this podracing game -
This is absolutely stunning
I listen to a lot of video game soundtracks while I work, for this very reason.
For me, Bloodborne clicked after I unlocked that first shortcut back to the first lantern. That sense of RELIEF was palpable, and I was like ‘Ohhhh this is how it’s going to be...’ You work hard, slowly, methodically, then the game offers you small but profound rewards like shortcuts, new weapons, badges and so on. I…
Cue the people who claim ‘I knew it was CGI straight away.’ No, you didn’t. If you saw that headline picture and no-one told it was a CGI face, you’d never know.
Argh I loved this column. Sad to see it’s the last one. I hope something similar comes along to replace it, because it’s always been a great space for discussion on the industry as a whole, which I think is a fascinating topic.
Who are these people who want to see swearing so badly? Ten-year-olds??
Whenever I see these “Internet reacts” posts, I want to enjoy them but I know one thing for certain: All of the twitter embeds will load halfway and crop the other half out. And sometimes other images such as Instagram embeds will just remain totally blank. I’ve seen multiple other commenters complain about the same…
In this article and in previous posts, you’ve made mention of Rockstar’s crunch culture and general overbearing working conditions. We’ve all seen how big of a problem it is recently. But here you are saying you want extra levels of detail (in an already incredibly detailed game) that, let’s face it, would almost…
I know it’s largely a question of semantics, and actually I’m in agreement with much of your article, but the reality is J.K Rowling doesn’t *need* to stop. She doesn’t need to do anything. You *would like* for her to stop. You want her to. But no-one *needs* to do anything here. Again, I agree with your points like…
I really just came here to say that Donald in the header picture reminds me of the bad guy at the end of Total Recall, when he’s exposed to the martian atmosphere and his face swells up.
Sadly we live in a world where writers love to be bitchy and snarky on sites like this, because... cool points? idk
WHAT HAVE THEY DONE
Does anyone else get like these squashed down versions of embedded twitter images on kotaku? It only happens on this site, I get half the image, and in some cases like Henry’s “cute instagram” post, the image hasn’t loaded at all.
It’s a great documentary! I’d heartily recommend it.
so... are you guys deliberately pretending Gamescon isn’t happening right now or something?
