You're misunderstanding the quote you're bringing up here. That was in reply to a "don't like it don't play it" comment, not in reference to the article - the quote means that she is currently in the process of reviewing the game and that's why she "has" to play it.

Yeah, that's why I used a generic sense of voice recognition and didn't say "if the game's voice recognition had been better" - all it had to recognize for that kind of thing was the different between yes and no, not exactly Kinect control material.

That was one of those games that I would have loved if voice recognition had been a little better. I still loved it as a kid, but man was it frustrating to have Pikachu find the one rare vegetable for Bulbasaur's soup, tell it "YES!!!", only to get the frustrated squiggle as Pikachu throws it away and it disappears…

There are many, many games that I wish had been made back when a game could be standalone without a sequel or a ton of DLC. Pokemon Snap is one of the few that I wish was made in the "everything needs 10 sequels" era of gaming.
