The first time I ever saw one of these in person was in the student parking lot of New Trier High School. I’m sure it was just someone’s parents’ car that they let drive every once in a while, but still - I cannot imagine letting a 16 year old drive an Esprit to and from school.

Seconded - New Haven style pizza is really, really good. If you ever have a hankerin’ for it in Chicago, Piece Pizza is fantastic.

This makes a lot of sense.

I live in Chicago, so there are no shortage of good pizza places to choose from, and yet I still know people who prefer (!) national chains over a local joint. This boggles my mind, and if anyone can explain this phenomena to me it would be much appreciated.

Pizza Hut is absolutely better than Papa John’s. I mean, they’re both shitty, but the only pizza chain worse than Papa John’s is Sarpino’s. This is a fact, and I will fight you.
