I saw a ton of coverage of her song “Ronan” which was for a cancer telethon I believe. Besides that, I have no idea. I don’t check Jezebel or other news sources that often. I think my knowledge of her charity activities comes from tumblr.

I’m hardly a Taylor Swift fan, but she has supported a ton of causes. Most of them aren’t very controversial of course-well, besides PETA. She does benefit concerts and donates money to cancer research, disaster relief, etc.

I don’t support Hillary but I love Katy’s enthusiasm for politics! I saw her perform yesterday and she lectured us all on the importance of registering to vote and talked a bit about policy issues. She actually sounded fairly intelligent. Most of her fan base is probably not old enough to vote so I’m not sure bringing…
