How tied into the ecosystem are you, though? I used to think this way, but now realize that I don’t use most of the Apple stuff. I use Spotify for music, Kindle for books, etc. So now that my iPad has bit the dust, I think I’ll replace it with a Kindle Fire (I mostly use it for movies, books, music, and the internet).

I would agree on rookie deals — that means they were far more butt than predicted. But once someone gets past their initial rookie deal and the team is either extending or picking up options, I’d say that’s a sign the player isn’t butt (though admittedly the option years are so damn cheap that they don’t prove much).

But if he’s in his fifth year, that means he either got a new contract or his rookie deal was extended. Doesn’t either result rebut the accusation of buttness?
