I honestly don’t know what looks worse, the “taco” or that hand. Get some lotion, for God’s sake!

I’ve had the InkBird for 3 years now and it’s great. 4 probe capacity, I usually use 3: 2 for pieces of meat, and one for the grill temp. I haven’t had any connectivity issues and you can customize your alarms easily. I saw the price on the recommended model here and choked.

I’m 52 and completely with you. Add this and I’m golden: https://www.ebay.com/itm/152408453443

Been pining for the fjords, have you?

I don’t understand how Carvana or CarMax work (or if they do, in fact, work). I leased a Lexus 3 yrs ago with a sticker of $35k. I bought it at lease end to sell to CarMax for $32K, and they have it listed on their site for $36,9k. But a brand new car of that same model and trim is available at Lexus for $36,2k! My

You seem to be screwed either way. Maybe I’m wrong because I don’t drive a car that powerful or like an asshat, but I think the problem is when you lift off of the gas the back tires DO get grip — and since they have the front tires cranked into the skid, the car immediately overcorrects in the other direction. And

Try CarMax. Just bought my Lexus off lease, and got an electronic offer through CarMax’s website. They honored it completely. (YMMV in that I did this before their recent earnings guidance announcement)

I’m 6'4" and 240 lbs (gym rat) and I fit fine in my Miata RF, which has even less room than the soft top. Don’t give up hope!

Thanks; when I called, they said in Florida I have to go through a dealer. Would love to know how you got around that!

Thanks — the leasing company (Lexus Financial) washes their hands of everything because under Florida law a dealer has to sell the car.

Going through this right now with Lexus. Lease says the dealer can charge “legally required fees” with a lease-end purchaseand every Lexus dealer insists that the $899 dealer fee is legally required, along with all of their inflated filing service fees. Altogether, these fees increase my purchase price by 12%.

I like the way you think. I’d add:

What’s interesting is that the RF’s 0-60 time is damn near the same as the ragtop, so I’m not sure how bad the weight penalty really is. I’m also coming off lease for a car that redefines “appliance” so the RF will likely feel sporty enough for me. And I live in South Florida, so with the monsoon-like rains and the

I started with the Miata and expanded from there. The RF may be the frontrunner as long as I can fit in it.

I’ve had several Infinitis, including a 2004 G35 and FXs, but I can’t see myself dropping $65k on that red sport Q60 (since I will get a coupe or roadster).

You and me both! I’ll be in the market for a midlife crisis car in the beginning of the year. My to-drive list so far:

Do the seats fold down? Would be great if I could lay my guitar and a small amp in the back.

Several months ago I started walking with a weighted backpack. Started at 15 lbs, worked my way up to 50. When I started, I had been doing 45 minute walks at 15 minutes/mile (I walk fast) and that was nothing; add that thing and it goes to a whole ‘nother level. It also really strengthened my knees, so when I started

Boca?

Every one of these a-holes has a PRS. With strings from the factory!
