To be fair, if I ever planned to buy an EV (I dont...) a Rotary powered Mazda EV would definately be on my short list.

Yea, high speed chases out here seem to trump everything. Everyone switches over to it to watch them get taken out. I think it has to do with the number of high profile chases that have happened here over the years. Everyone wants to see the next OJ incident.

Without realizing it, my son has already purchased and built (and taken apart and modified...) this set. I had no idea it was to commemorate an achievement. It will probably blow his mind.

I doubt that will stop people...

I get that (I have a 3.0T) but I was more concerned about the internals and block.

Thats what I thought. I’ve always seen the GMC side as the work truck and the Chevy side as the semi-work truck. Plus, aside from the Denali variants, the rest of their lineup has always been pretty depressing

Not to mention the 100 lbs of Rhino liner that will go right over it.

Can I get one in Laguna Seca Blue?

Is the 2.9 a new engine or is it just a redone 3.0T?

I thought we already knew the answer to this one:

It is. The JDM scene at full tilt was basically trying to make EKs and DC2s that we got stateside into their Type R counterparts (headlights, 5 lug, seats, etc.)

The system gave far too much leeway to the driver to divert his attention to something other than driving.”

Man, the interior looks awful on these things. The all black ones you see really hide the terribleness.

I like these but I love the later V8.

The amount of money Americans have spent to make the EK look like this must be mind boggling.

You should learn to fix your misgivings about any project. Every project is just a bunch of little steps that anyone can do if they pay attention and are careful. Start small and just go for it (with the right tools and instructions). Change oil, then brakes, headlights etc. and one day you will wonder why you don’t

So...what ever happened to the DARE and similar programs that ran around and at least told kids what the affects of these things are and how they affect you. I have these conversations with my oldest far earlier than I ever expected to have to but I highly doubt the majority of parents even have a clue.

As someone from CA, I have no idea what this “rust” thing you speak of is.

Love these cars. That interior is amazing. If I ever figure out how to operate a sewing machine, this is what I want to learn.
