It was still a PITA. Jumper the connections and then sit in the car and turn the key in a weird way and count how many times the CEL flashes.

This wasn’t just Mazda. Lots of mechanical door systems from the 80s worked like this.

Had a 1995 Escort that would flash codes if you bridged certain contacts in the fuse box (I think it was the fuse box, it was under the hood).

I freaked out when I saw one in our parking lot. I tracked down the owner and it turned out to be a coworker. White and black SSV and his wife drives an auto SS.

Coworker bought his SS and had it “holdenfied” by the dealership. Proper badges all over, center caps, accent colors, etc. The only glaring omission is the seat backs which still say SS.

They net $3B in profit and paid nearly $1B in taxes. The one time tax break pulling money to the US offset that value but they still paid the taxes. It also wont change that they have to pay taxes every single year without a rolling benefit of the one time break.

Of course, the rich not paying any taxes is the big problem -

Crazy engine. Too bad the EB110 never got more love. It was always my poster car.

Rotiform has some modern variants of 80s-90s wheels. HRE does as well.

Its going to sound weird but I think AMG has a better catalog but I would probably end up with something similar to BMWs offerings on my cars.

“Semi-automatic receiver” is just as nebulous.

Often they future proof concepts prior to the law being enacted. Feel free to look up the bullet button, its soon to be ban, and the already proposed solution around it.

My current car costs $700 to add 100hp and $1200 to add 150.

The safety factor is really where I start to lose all my “glory days” arguments. I love 80s and 90s cars but not a mile from my house someone died when their 80s 3 series was rear ended, the car burst into flames and the doors couldn’t be opened.

10 years of a decent lawyer is $1.5m minimum for just one person. That doesnt include his team, any corporate time, travel, etc.

$10m in 1994 dollars barely cracks the top 5 for what has been paid in the past for domain names. Its not exactly outrageous.

The whole thing seems crazy to me on multiple levels, even more so as time moves on. www.nissan.com was worth enough to Nissan to sue for $10M in the 90s, throw a decade of legal staff at the fight, knowing it had to be a long shot. On top of that, we are at the point right now where it is just embarrassing to the

$5.4M not including stock options which likely will increase vs FF options which are probably worth less than the paper they are printed on.
