Your argument isn’t sound. Regressive and fairness are not on the same spectrum. The argument that poor people drive older cars is offset by poor people having alternative methods of transportation and often ways to subsidize those costs as well (no charge for registration of vehicles or not having to pay to smog a

Took long enough, it honestly seems like they should have been the first on the SUV bandwagon as it would allow them to slather more luxury around.

Damn, the punk rock beater car is such a thing. I had an 87 regal that I had to fit an entire drum set in. Our guitarist bought the cheapest thing with a sunroof so his mohawk could stick out of it...

It might be regressive but it sure is fair. You pay a proportionate tax rate to the amount of infrastructure you use. You could probably make a pretty loose argument that if you are poor you also have some public transportation / utility subsidy that mitigates a lot of the impact.

CA resident here with really high gas taxes to cover infrastructure costs. Also, we have crap infrastructure because the money never goes where it should.

1st Gear: As much as I’m not a fan of a gas tax, if it actually was tied directly to infrastructure upgrades it seems to be one of most “fair” ways to apply a tax. You use the infrastructure at a fairly linear rate to how much gas you use. It even accounts for heavy vehicles or sports cars (wider tires) which probably

Considering those are probably 10-12" wheels you might get away with 15" to 18" on something stateside. Unfortuantely, other than asking nicely for small parts at a pipe supply store, most places want you to buy a minimum of 100' at $2500 plus shipping.

I was hoping that this would recommend a good car that we could get in the states for this activity (Festiva? Geo?) and spec out the correct PVC and where to get it. 15" ID pvc is pretty expensive so I guess you would have to find a pipe supply store and ask them to cut you a couple 4" sections.

Consdiering how much better the Saturn Sky looked, I can’t believe someone thought this would be worth money some day.

Eh, how many times has the rotary been shown as a V4 in a parts system. Its really getting old.

It is funny to read all the Toyota/Subaru dealership issues when I have the opposite experience from Honda.

Ironically I had a Caravan (non stick) while a buddy had the Aerostar (stick). Although it makes no sense, I would definately put the Aerostar as the speedster of the bunch while the Caravan was more of a party bus. Damn that thing had a lot of maroon on the inside.

Pretty sure they are riding a bandwagon wave right now as well. I was staring at the back of a crosstrek the other day think about why it has so many damn badges on it. Then I noticed that the 5th (yes 5th) badge had a little “2nd” in the middle of it with some other weird symbols next to it.

Considering that Anderson bailed on performing another rotation at the last second just to keep things together, followed by a free run at the end that despite not pushing hard still had a pretty harsh fall.

I figured this was actually a meteorite as well but I doubt anyone went as far as testing it to make sure it was from the moon. Most likely just grabbed whatever amount of meteorite they needed for the paint and called it “moon dust” as it sounds better.

Whats the typical upgrade route on these? I was looking at track cars and the “older” corvettes keep popping up as cheap speed.

Too expensive right now but definately one to keep an eye on. Private party is really hit or miss as everyone thinks their vette is special and should never depreciate. Some wont budge, others just posted it at that price because everyone else did.

This really reeks of the EPA knowing all along that the tests didn’t do much to begin with and couldn’t care less. The moment someone else points out that they aren’t doing their job properly they start turning in everyone they can think of to save face.

Ok, I love seeing those JP F40s as much as the next guy but you have staff in Texas. Where are the awesome photos from this show? Donks might be crazy, but they are the good kind of crazy. Would love to see some coverage.
