I suppose if you were legitimately harmed or offended by this article, innocuous doesn't belong here. But if you really were harmed or offended by this article, you should take a long, hard look at your life.
It's important to have limits on your empathy. You wouldn't want to be too forgiving of someone accidentally.

If anything, the cartoon character is somehow more sympathetic than the real life dude. Possibly because I expect something like The Boondocks to be over the top outrageous. Anyone that refers to their fellow humans as NPC’s is rightly ignored as a child. If you’re willing to erase someone’s humanity from your mind because they disagree with you politically, it’s probably better for everyone that you’re not being listened to.
Why don’t old people just get out of the way and live out their years somewhere far away so we can ignore them? That they keep trying to be engaged with the world is simply rude to young people.
