1. Turn schools into impregnable fortresses

Literally a week before the Parkland shooting, I asked the boy how his day was at school. “Math was good, (something else) was boring. We didn’t have music because we had a lockdown drill.”

How I was at 16 would probably be a whole lot different if someone had shot up my high school and killed a bunch of my friends. Don’t be dense.
