It's the best Canada in the land!
Me too. Good lord, I don't even want to imagine how much of a time sink that will be (again!).
I'm interested to see where the story goes. I thought the whole system was out at the end of Metal Gear Solid 4, yet in the trailer we presumably see PMC's and Gekkos still in operation. Who knows whats happened since the end of 4?
This is most definitely on my Christmas list. I own the 1st edition and the clash of kings expansion, and playing it has resulted in some very hurt feelings, including my own. Our games are generally full of betrayals, apart from one player who refuses to break alliances or pacts made during the game. Ultimately…
Yeah, but the theory is you are buying those games to enjoy them on their own merits, not so Nintendo can send you a gift down the line. This is in addition to the fun you'll hopefully be having with said games, so it is an additional gift at no extra charge, hence free.
BestBuy's online store is atrocious. It takes forever for them to ship something, and even then they use some weird proprietary shipping service that has its own tracking numbers. I've ordered 2 things from them, mainly due to getting an incredibly good deal, so it wasn't horrible waiting.
That Vanguard power is sick!
Yeah, Obsidian has done a good job in the past. Hopefully working on a smaller scale with this game will reduce the amount of bugs that they've had in the past. But, yeah, I'm psyched. I love South Park and if Matt and Trey are involved at all, this should succeed.
I was just taking issue with saying that the Book of Mormon's success was a surprise. I've been following the show since I first heard about it, and I don't think there was ever any doubt it would succeed, specifically within the Broadway community.
You're right, and I did say that if you don't follow either of those things, you probably wouldn't know. But that's also kind of like saying if you don't know video games, you won't know that an Elder Scrolls release is a big deal. It sounds goofy saying it to someone "in the know."
Ummmm...
Ugh, I know.
Beware the Clavicus Vile quest!!!
I'm not surprised that Oblivion Walker is the second lowest achievement on that list. I was working towards that for the past few days until I doscovered... You can totally fail the achievement!
This is a well thought out and eloquently articulated opinion. I tend to agree with this statement but I can also understand the flipside of feeling the need to base a lot of who you are on gender/sexuality/race etc... Sometimes the only way to move forward is by making a big deal out of something that may seem…
Agreed with everything you've stated.
Does anybody else think Pachter is absolutely crazy? I've watched his show on Gametrailers, and when he's on the Bonus Round, and he says some pretty radical stuff. I mean, obviously some of his guesses are correct, but overall I think he's wrong most of the time.
I think the side-quests with their own stories can potentially be awesome. Even though I know smithing and enchanting break the game, I love getting a quest about some mythic piece of armor/jewelry that some ancient hero used.
For the past few years, I've argued that Oblivion, despite being a launch title, was one of, if not the best, pure gaming experience this generation. There have been other great games for sure, but Oblivion felt like pure wonder and fun distilled onto a disk.
