As it happens, that tends to be when I watch it too! And yeah, the first season is pretty good. It gets better as it goes into later seasons, but it did start surprisingly strong. A lot of shows take a long time to find their footing.

I’ve been going back through Psych on Netflix, and it still holds up. Still a lot of fun, and a really good cast. They’re a good ensemble, and work really well together. As comedy show ensembles go, maybe even up there with Newsradio (a personal favorite).

The whole trend of remaking movies would actually be a good thing if they just started remaking bad movies instead of classics. There are so many old movies that had potential but never quite lived up to it. Giving some old ideas a second try to get it right could actually result in some good films coming out, instead

People dying from TB, probably.

Hopefully everyone recognizes that gem. If not, we’re seriously miseducating our children. They’ll never achieve the glow at this rate.

I figured he meant non-titular in the sense that Frankenstein is the doctor, not the monster. But igor would be cool too.

They are focusing their crazy on Trump, but in his case the crazy manifests as support.

I like the way Neil Degrasse Tyson put it, re: skeptics vs deniers.

I think it’s an expanding revival. A year or two ago it was a big deal that you could buy cases on amazon. They sold out repeatedly. Now I’m seeing Surge in stores, big tall boys of it. Like Monster size cans of that sweet green stuff.

Brad Pitt supposedly went to the dentist to have his front teeth chipped for his role in Fight Club. Tyler Durden scoffs at Jim Carrey’s lack of commitment.

I think that “[throwing] people (mostly gays and minorities) under the bus in order to get the GOP to play ball” part is absolutely key. It’s the unsaid end of the sentence “Hillary can get more stuff done.” If she manages to get anything done, it won’t be because she manages to sway the GOP to her side, it will be

This. I have yet to see anyone reasonably explain how a congress that wouldn’t work with Sanders would somehow play ball with Hillary, who is the embodiment of the two things they hate most: Clintons and women. Congress giving Hillary Clinton an inch on anything? Talk about pie in the sky, magic wand waving and

Joe R. Lansdale wrote a story called “Godzilla’s Twelve-Step Program” about washed up movie monsters, and what living in normal society is like after the glory days. It’s a short, fun read, especially if you’re into old monster movies, particularly Godzilla and King Kong and the like. Godzilla and crew are

The sun didn’t flicker. It blinked.

Is this just a bigger version of a Faraday bag, or does this one block more signals than a regular Faraday bag?

A lot of people thought the fight was fixed, not because it looked fake necessarily, but because it’s so hard to believe someone lost a fight to Kimbo Slice.

Well, if anyone could talk you out of a Palahniuk-induced suicide, surely it’d be Hemingway. Ain’t an ounce of quit in him.

RE: Cabin’s ending, I might be giving them too much credit, but I think that’s part of the point. They say that if torture is the only way humanity can survive, and there’s a huge group of people willing to do it, that maybe humanity doesn’t deserve to survive. But the fact that the main characters are willing to

I haven’t seen Antiviral yet, but that makes it sound a lot like Videodrome:
