Shouldn’t this say “ice cream” in scare quotes? Give me a pint of Ben & Jerry’s instead.

Usually around 100,000 miles. My current subie is a 2008 Forester I purchased 5 years ago. It now has 154,000 and is going strong. For $5500, that’s a darn good deal!

I’m 48 and I’ve never owned a new car or had a car payment. I routinely buy solid used Subarus (used to be volvos, but they’ve changed) and get 8-10 years of driving out of them. I might spend $700-$1000 yearly on maintenance and repairs. Way less than a car payment.

I am 45 and just had one as well. The prep wasn’t bad. The worst part was not eating all day. I took pills starting at 6pm the night before and spent the evening on the toilet, but it really wasn’t as bad as I expected. Find a doctor who uses SUTAB and it’s not bad at all.

Or at least store your kitchen fire extinguisher right inside your kitchen door (under the sink isn’t good enough). It might not look pretty, but you’ll be able to grab it quickly if you need it!

Ah, but the peanut dipping sauce. Have a good recipe for that?

Yummy ideas!

I’m surprised Dogville isn’t on here.

I’ve had the same number for 20 years now, and I will never change it. Why? I live in a different state than the state I lived in when I got the phone. And I know NO ONE in that state any more who isn’t in my contacts already. So when I get a random call from that state, I know it’s spam. Easy peasy.

Yup. This one.

The Innocents is on here (haunting, yes, but disturbing?), and Martyrs (2008) is not?? HOLY HECK that’s the most disturbing film EVER. I won’t even tell you to watch it bc I don’t want it to live in your brain forever like it lives in mine.

Victims everywhere lost. Abusers won.

I use witch hazel on my face every night. That’s it. No soap (I only wash with a mild soap in the morning). No makeup, SPF 15 lotion all day, and witch hazel every night. At 48 years old I find that people with bathroom refrigerators for their expensive skin care products keep asking me why skin looks so good.

Surprised to see no mention of Unions here. If you’re in a unionized workplace, you can AND SHOULD ask for a union rep to attend any such meeting with you. And make sure you read your contract and make sure you were fired for legal reasons. The employer also must follow certain notice and procedure with you and the

Yes I came here to warn about the same thing! It’s highly poisonous to cats, even though it is ok for dogs. Be careful with spraying any shoes given that lots of cats love to play with and/or rub all over their person’s shoes. Whenever I get back from a run in the woods my cat loves to smell on my shoes to see where

I wear my watch when running and it collects all the stats, and I find this really useful for making sure I’m not running too fast when I’m heading out on a longer run and want to pace myself. But sometimes I just don’t check my watch at all and just run (especially when I’m stressed about something) and then it’s

Ah, the American Dream Lie!

Don’t give up.

It really is. I’m eating it right now and make it a couple times a month.

The problem is road rage is often very dangerous. I honked at someone who nearly came into me once on a highway- just a polite “hey I’m here don’t hit me” honk. They followed me for a few miles, cutting me off multiple times. As I was on a 4-lane highway, I couldn’t safely get over to exit even if there was a nearby
