What a shame Office Ladies isn’t on here! The fan community is amazing!

A small fanny pack worn as a cross-body has become by go-to. I can feel if it’s there or not and it’s hard for someone else to get to. The clip is on my back, so I use a small carabiner clip to make it harder for anyone else to take off me. Or I wear coats with large enough zipper pockets, or deep front pockets, that

For childproof bottles that require pushing down and turning the cap, you can whack the edge of the cap on the edge of a table and remove the outside part, leaving you with only a screw on cap. This video shows just pulling it off, but I’ve never found that to be easy.

When you want to get there quickly and the fastest route as a toll bc most highways around you have tolls.

I’m 47 and have never had a new car and never had a car payment. I buy a solid used car every 8 years or so, keep up with the maintenance (I have a great mechanic and know a bit myself about cars), and drive it until repairs are too expensive to justify spending the money. Right now I have a 2009 Forester that I paid

Moxie is specifically from Lisbon, Maine and is one of the oldest sodas. It’s delicious but difficult to get outside of the state. And true fact: The word “moxie” came from the soda!

I thought this would be more of a how to, but you really just have to buy an expensive device to make edibles? I’m not used to LH being so obtuse. I’d like to make some without buying a $250 device, so I guess I’ll google instructions.

Ah, darn it! I forgot these were a scam and got sucked in again! I checked and saw a local deli was listed and figured that I could use the $100 to pick up sandwiches etc. over the summer. So I bought $100 for $14. Well, it turns out that place does not take certificates. So I don’t know why they’re even listed as a

Both Waze and Google Maps let you set a time you want to arrive at your destination (up to a week ahead) and then use previously recorded traffic data to tell you the best time to leave. You can see in Waze how the length of the trip increases at certain times and plan around that. I regularly drive from NJ out to LI

I’ve been using Jumpcut for years as a no-frills cut/paste manager. Could not live without it and it’s free.

Also, flour, dough, and sourdough starter.

Professor here. 25 years in higher ed. The professors I know NEVER change a grade unless they’ve made a calculation error. We actually learn in our teaching instruction (the little we get) to use clear (rubrics) and make sure we are justified with every grade we assign, and therefore have no reason to change a grade.

Yeah, I’ve been running for 15 years and sharp pains will make me stop running. Achy is ok and totally normal. But ignoring ANY sharp pain during a run is a great way to get a worse more permanent injury.

Less than 1% of bats carry rabies. If you don’t handle bats, it’s a non-issue. We’ve had a bat box in our yard forever and can see them swoop down in the late evening, but otherwise we never know they are there. And we have far fewer mosquitos than our neighbors.

Tinned fish should really be on here. It’s great on crackers or bread with butter, added to salads, or just plain. Sardines in olive oil are a great start, but so is smoked trout and mackerel.

Is that really a thing? 😳

The best option is to avoid wrinkles in the first place. As soon as my dryer finishes, I fold the clothes out of it directly into the basket. They only wrinkle when they sit unfolded in there forever. The bonus is that I never have laundry sitting around that needs to be put away.

We have cell phones AND a landline. The landline is for telemarketers and doctors offices. We also give it out to loyalty programs etc. so we get next to no spam calls on our cell phones. Our landline screens for spam calls and makes it easy to block numbers that are repeat offenders. If we get a call on our landline,

I’m less worried about privacy and more worried about my camera being on during a meeting where I am not dressed/disheveled/etc. So I’ve had one of those very tiny camera slidey things and for 3 years it’s never been an issue.

My 2008 Subaru has this option. I also use it all winter.
