I’m 42 and very happy not to have had kids. There was I time I thought I wanted them in my late 20s, but got caught up in grad school and lost interest. Instead of kids, I get to focus on my students (I’m a college prof) and my social activism. I have the amazing experience of contributing to the lives of 100+

I lost my best childhood friend years ago for this reason. She’s extremely religiously conservative, and I’m gay and married. We tried to come to some mutual understanding, but in the end, I couldn’t stomach that she did not think I should have the same rights as her. So we parted ways.

Sometimes, like the article

Powdered parmesan is good.

But powdered pecorino romano is 1000x better!

We call this lukshun (not sure of the spelling)-- it’s from my spouse’s Jewish Russian relatives. YUMMY!

This just makes me happy every time I see it. It is clearly the appropriate way to argue with Nazis.

Of course, this all depends on your definition of “quality” films and TV. I’m an old movie person (1940s-1970s) and find much more I like on Amazon Prime. And I get the added on Britbox and Acorn subscriptions (~$5 each per month) for all the British mysteries I could ever want. And there’s an old TV subscription for

And I LOVE wasabi, horseradish etc. but HATE peppers.

But I also love black pepper. From googling, it seems that peppercorns also contain allyl isothiocyanate.

It takes me 2 seconds to scoop the rest into a freezer bag. Then I can throw it into my next stew/chili/etc.

I’ve been an Evernote user since 2008 (my username is just my kinda common first name) and it’s my literal filing cabinet for everything from news articles, to teaching material, to resource lists, to recipes (SO MANY RECIPES). I don’t even pay for it and have never run out of space. I don’t know what I would do if

I’m due for an upgrade with AT&T Next. Any chance they’re going to drop monthly prices for the XS Max after September 10th?

My grandmother in Maine (British and Irish) made this all the time. Never knew it was a Southern thing. She never ventured south of Boston her entire 92 years!

I haven’t tried micro crystals. We use walnut litter and the odor control is great!

Well then if it’s a medical issue, they’ll be cleaning up pee FOREVER bc it won’t stop on it’s own.

This is some bad advice, LifeHacker.

First, whenever there’s a peeing issue, rule out medical problems! Get both cats to the vet and have them tested for UTIs. Male cats are prone to things like crystals and that can make them pee where they’re not supposed to. If one is doing it, the other will bc it becomes a

I’ve started doing the same. I have my favorite Loft cardigan in 4 colors. And I have some nice sweats and long sleeved shirts (for lounging/sleeping) from Kohls and bought 3 more of each bc I love them so much.

Yeah, that’s called getting mugged.

Honestly, I’m MUCH more careful in “first world” countries where tourists and thieves run rampant. I’ve never had an issue with crime traveling in off-the-beaten-path “third world” countries.

Awwww man, how much did I love my chain wallet!

The way anti-plagiarism software works is it checks the percentage matching another work (both published or papers handed in to other schools and courses). So the average paper usually has 2-4% match to other sources, and that’s OK. As a professor, I look for entire chunks (10%+) that match sources and DO NOT use

Ah, it’s only available for folks with Google for Education. My school doesn’t have an account. :(
