To be fair Google has their own game subscription service in Google Play Pass. It’s just never talked about so who knows how it stacks up.

They announced something to that effect for first party titles iirc but Outriders is published by Square Enix. I think it’s weird that it got added to Game Pass for Xbox but not on PC but thems the breaks I guess.
I’ve slammed them down on the couch a few times. But I can honestly say I’ve never *thrown* a controller. And those couch slams were all DualShock 4s resulting from frustration over the sticks drifting. Never from the actual games. And usually swiftly followed by “GODDAMN IT I HAVE TO BUY ANOTHER NEW DUALSHOCK 4!”. I…
It is, but Outriders is not on Game Pass for PC.
This would be nice if I could ever get ansel to actually work. Or if I was playing on PC (another win for Game Pass).
At the expense of ray tracing, I'm sure. Which is something I expect to be common until the inevitable mid-gen hardware refresh.
“because there is nothing exciting coming out for the Xbox.”
What an asinine comment considering OP mentioned one of the most acclaimed games ever.
You and me both. They could, and probably should, drop everything but fixing up Cyberpunk and The Witcher 3 upgrade and I’d be happy.
“But the pacing of modern JRPGs doesn’t really seem ideal for portability.”
I wouldn’t say I’m confused. I definitely get the appeal. I guess for me it’s just that it’s never been all that comfortable to play a game for hours on a handheld. Especially games like JRPGs that often rely on save points that can be hours apart. Obviously it’s a YMMV situation but staring at a small screen for so…
Same boat. World was the third MH game I’ve bought in the hopes that something would click with me and the third time nothing has. For some people it all gels perfectly. But for me it just feels like a chunky mess of outdated controls and subsystem/menu hell. World had a lot of legitimately cool things going on in…
But! There's nothing stopping Microsoft's backwards compatibility team from hitting it with some of those sweet Series X/S upgrades. So keep those fingers crossed.
It’s not even the best fit for big JRPGs imo. At least not in handheld mode. But I’ve never been a fan of sitting down for a hundred hour story on a screen that’s only a few inches big so that’s maybe just me.
This was me except it was high school and the PSX. Reading about that thing blew my mind. Little did I know ten years afterward I’d be making fun of Microsoft for creating a console that used TV as a selling point.
Thing is, the procedurally generated aspect sounds really cool and I’d love to play that in almost literally any other shooter. Just maybe not in what amounts to the absolute distillation of 25 years of U.S. military propagandism in video games.
Pikmin World
I saw them live a few months before the world went to hell and it was a great show. This is definitely some “Aww maaaan” news.
Weirdly, the day before this came out I was thinking he’d be a solid choice to play Otacon in the MGS movie.
I know it won’t happen but I’d love it if they were just reconsidering/renegotiating that stupid exclusivity deal. Even less people will buy it for other platforms without Marvel’s most popular hero, and you kinda don’t want that for a game that’s already underperforming. They can’t really expect one platform to pick…
