Battlerite actually did add a battle Royale and it effectively killed the main game. It was an entirely separate paid release and support for the main game slowed to a trickle. And the battle Royale flopped. And I’m still bitter because Battlerite is the only MOBA-like game I’ve ever actually legitimately enjoyed.

I watched up until the opening credits back when they put the first episode on YouTube for free. I called it then that it wouldn’t get a second season. It very clearly wanted to be Guardians of the Galaxy in tone and it failed miserably and I hated all five minutes of it.

What’s the point? Am I going to change your mind or enlighten you in some way? Nah. I do think it’s quite unsurprising and awfully telling that someone who drops the n-word like it’s a fashion statement would think the United States is a free and fair society. You wear your privilege proudly, Captain Mayonnaise, but Read more

I didn’t learn any of my favorite cuss words from YouTube because I was born 20 years before it was a thing, thank you very much. I learned ‘em from my fuckin’ parents like a normal red-blooded American. Also, your take is a bad one and apologetic of hate speech. I didn’t learn that from my parents. I learned that Read more

When people cry “Virtue signaling!” they’re really just saying that they take issue with the virtues being signalled. Virtues are, by definition, mostly a correct way of thinking. That obviously says more about you than them. And it ain’t a good look, champ.

Washing away history? You know books still exist, yeah? Do you get all of your history lessons exclusively from statues of state traitors and the flags they waved?

For me I’m just having to suspend my disbelief a little much after S1. Like this strange shit keeps happening exclusively in Hawkins, Indiana? That and S2 was kinda boring.

IT is a good comparison. Tell a good coming of age story and then know when to stop. I’m really hoping the Duffers know when to.

I really thought it was going to be an anthology series. The title “Stranger Things” even sounds like an anthology series. For me it’s just getting a little unbelievable that weird shit keeps happening in Hawkins specifically.

Go right ahead. You’ll notice I didn’t tell anyone they shouldn’t enjoy it. You’ll also notice I never said that *I* don't enjoy it.

They’re going for a sort of stylized-realism and that rarely works out. Either lean into the cartoonist designs or go realistic. You can’t really have both. Thor’s voice is a standout offender for me. Travis Willingham’s take works in a cartoon because it’s so exxagerated (and kind of cheesey, I’ve never liked it). Read more

They really should wrap it up with this season. Maybe one more but that’s pushing it. S2 wasn’t as strong imo. Not terrible but weaker than S1. S3 was pretty solid. But it’s getting a little long in the tooth.

I’d just be happy with S8. S7 had it’s issues but I mostly enjoyed it. S7 was what actual dumpster fires call dumpster fires. Just awful from nearly every angle. I mean, I’m fine if the show just forever has a terrible final season, but it’s fun to dream.

As someone who got tired of the Lego games a long time ago, I’d really love to see TT do a non-LEGO game. The last time was Narnia in 2008 and even that was sandwiched between LEGO games. Mind you I'm not begrudging them. Those LEGO games sell.
