My mom's the best mom. I could write a book with all the times she's called out men for their misogyny. You don't fuck with an Eastern European Jewish mother.

I know this is completely off topic, but your comment reminds me of a story my mom told me about my sister and one of her teachers. For context, my sister is 11 years older than me, so I was either not born or very little at the time, and my mom was a single mother (so this either happened before mom met my father or

When I was a kid (I'm 21 now), I distinctly remember my school and summer camp (camp was private, school was public) making us/the parents get signed forms from our doctors saying that we got vaccinated otherwise they wouldn't let us in the fucking building. I'm fairly certain that the school would give the

Sounds like my mom, who forced me on the pill at 15 for my periods. She also had my sister at 19, and talked to me all the time about being safe and not getting pregnant when I'm young, and how it really is and it's not all glamour and fun. That even though she loves my sister, she wishes she had her a little later

HEY! Don't hate on the Ren Faire! I love it and go every summer. Let me tell you, Ren Faire + pot = awesomeness. There's nothing like watching a jousting match while high!

I also don't like live music! I thought I was the only person in the world. Unfortunately it's something I have to keep to myself because I work for a music magazine, and my fucking job requires me to go to concerts ALL. THE. TIME. Granted the tickets are free but still, ugh. And one of my good friends is in a band,

Even sisters that aren't close in age with find something to fight over. My sister is 11 years older than me (we have different fathers) and a completely different shape - she's like 2 inches taller, is probably about an F cup now, has broad shoulders and straight hips, while I'm 5'2", was an A cup until 2 years ago

Ok, dude, I was just kidding (mostly. My mom actually did tell me that).

Loving camp is just a person thing. Camp WAS the fucking best, and every person I know who went when they were a kid still loves talking about it. And I know plenty of non-Jews who went to camp (my Italian, Catholic raised boyfriend for one).

That's cute, as a Jewish girl I can tell you the best advice my mother ever gave me was to never date a Jewish guy. Looking through your comments, it appears that she was right :)

I cannot wrap my mind around that logic, for men or women. I feel like the rest of that line is "I don't go for black guys...because they all look the same." I've heard white people say this, and it's just...what? I'm white and, uh, I can tell people apart regardless of their skin color*. I definitely feel like it's a

This is great, thank you! I'm going to take kitty to the vet soon so I can hear what he has to say about her diet. From there, I'll definitely do what you said. I appreciate the response! And good idea about the treats, by the way :)

This is why my boyfriend and I don't tell anyone we're actually engaged. We've been together 2 years, and he proposed pretty much after a few months of dating. We're young (22 and 23) and want to get married somewhere in the next 5 years or so (we both want to be stable in our careers and live and whatnot). We'd

YES! Whenever my boyfriend and I get into a tiff, and it's something that's not serious at all, I send him this video. Always clears things right up!

Save it until you get more! It's gonna be hard but it'll be worth it, I promise!

I hear ya darling. I'm trying to lose 30 lbs myself, and I've been putting it off for quite some time. I was doing well, too but I had a few off weeks lately - first I had the flu, then food poisoning, then I got my wisdom teeth removed on Wednesday. Once I get these stitches out it's back to the gym for me! Hopefully

Hmm, perhaps I can try. We'll see. For now I'm just going to try to keep kitty as active as possible so she's not just sitting around and eating all day.

It's always a mom problem in my life, lol. I'll figure out something. Thanks anyway!

I know that's the problem here. My mom leaves her food out all day, and refills the bowl with dry food whenever it's empty. It's a problem and even though the VET told her to stop, she doesn't listen. I have no clue what to do.

We have! My mom comes to the vet and he tells her to stop leaving the food bowl out and only feed her twice a day. She does NOT listen. She just ignores it. I have no clue what to do!
