I often think how transformational it would be if there were even one female republican in America. Imagine if they had just one woman in the party as a politician or even as a constituent. They would surely stand up for women’s rights and challenge the men who don’t care about reproductive rights. A party without

I would argue that is less a function of the attendants and more a function of gas stations not being large enough to handle the volume of cars in the state of NJ.

Sure, some stations are understaffed, but I found that it can be swifter to fill up there than many other states. In other states I’ve waited longer to

I read that as “New Jersey is an insufferable place to live. Not having to pump my own gas is the sole reason I choose to live in an overcrowded state, with cold winters, short summers, rude people, high taxes, bad traffic, and strict vehicle inspections. If I have to pump my own gas, I can live in some other state

As the saying goes, “Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.”

The headline.

Easily available charging is a first step, but even with available charging, the long-range use of EVs is still a major compromise.

As someone who quite enjoys cross-country motoring adventures, an EV is still not a practical solution. My trips sometimes exceed 3000 miles. These trips are my vacation time, and I

The perfect $100,000 garage begins with a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 sl alloy gullwing. The average sales have been north of $6.5M, so maybe the $100k would pay for the toolkit?

Really? Do you want me to make a list of everything I see that is modified, i.e. non-original? I’m sure I’ll miss a bunch of things, but here’s what I can come up with quickly for non-original elements.

You missed the entire point of the message. I’d explain it to you, but it looks like you either don’t care to understand, or didn’t bother to try to understand.

The ones you listed, those are fun cars, don’t get me wrong, but they are not sports cars. I do think, however, the term “sports car” feels antiquated when I write it or say it.

I don’t hate Hyundai or Genesis, nor would I root for their demise. In fact, I see that they’ve got tons of potential, but seem to be plagued

I came here to say this too. They’re so bad as rentals that I can’t imagine anyone test driving one and saying, “wow, I just have to have this car.”

The average Google salary is nearly $125k per year. That average employee is probably not in a role where they make life and death decisions. I’d guess that most of them hold a 4 year degree, if not a graduate degree.

Yet, an Arkansas cop on average makes $43k per year. Granted they probably have a pension to look

I mean what do people expect out of police officers when the requirements to become a police officer are roughly equivalent to working in fast food?

For Arkansas:

To be eligible for hiring consideration, Arkansas police officer candidates must: Be a US citizen by birth or through naturalization. Be at least 21 years

Of all of the suggestions, only one is actually a sports car. I second the suggestion for the 911 Turbo as well as it is not only a great vehicle, but the only sports car on the list.

I think what you’ve said makes a lot of sense.

Says you.

I’m not against EVs. I think they are the future. However, the future isn’t here yet. Nor are EVs a 1:1 replacement for an ICE in the same class. The use case of an EV is limited, based on the battery technology and range.

If it were a 1:1 replacement for the same class of vehicle with an ICE powertrain,

Not a 1:1 relationship to the EV vs. ICE situation.

You do realize that Hyundai doesn’t make a sports car, right?

If I could recharge 400 miles of range in the same time I can fill up my car for the same 400 miles of range, I’m down. Until then, EVs, as cool as they are, seem like novelties.

A few issues for me here.
