That’s a nice vision. However, walkability and bikeability will generally come with higher-density communities. If in those higher density communities that already exist, a comprehensive holistic approach were taken, that could make sense.

It can be a very painful process. However, for anyone that doesn’t think it is necessary, they simply need to take a summer trip to SoCal. Head east from LA and look at the air over the I.E. in San Bernadino county. For some people it will be the first time they can see and taste air.
Plus, they care so much about emissions/smog that they tend to ignore the safety of vehicles and the basic attention to working lights, treaded tires, and adequate brakes.
Or even more, maybe someone slipped this through while Elon was messing with his expensive and useless Twitter side hustle.
It’s just money. If you like something, go ahead and buy it. Don’t worry about the money. If you don’t make enough to buy what you want today. Finance it at whatever rate. The rate, and duration of the loan do not matter. Then, if your income isn’t sufficient to take care of your obligations, simply work harder.

Ah, the distinction between advertising and marketing. This is indeed marketing, though the argument against advertising is valid.
Or maybe the anti-Tesla agenda is like a sacrifice to the automotive establishment. Does being anti-Tesla increase ad dollars from other automakers?
I’m not an expert, but I imagine this isn’t just a quirky POV. There is money in having a contrarian opinion to what is otherwise common sense. Hating Tesla/Musk which are not one and the same, is the opposite of how most of the world sees the company and the man.
The business of being contrarian and regressive is the…
Bashing Tesla/Musk is part of the brand of Jalopnik. However, like Fox News personalities, I don’t believe that any of them actually believe the junk they have built their TV personalities upon.
If this is indeed intended to be an ad, I’d like to see the leadership, structure, and roles of their marketing team.
It amazes me that most people aren’t questioning the technology more when jumping into the deep end headfirst on EVs.
EVs as they are right now are just a big dumb compromise.
I’m not oblivious to the fact that ICEs aren’t perfect, and we probably won’t know the extent of their negative impact on the environment for…
“Working with Mark-1 Plumbing was a blast. Their quote process was fully automatic. We let them decide whether a larger water heater would be a good idea, but they pulled the trigger on the smaller one, saying they didn’t want to kill us with the higher cost of the larger unit. On inspection day they stood in the line…
Costco has a Bugatti scooter for less.
It is worth noting that your comments could benefit from some proofreading, and editing prior to publishing them.
The CR-Z was a failure as a proof of concept, if that concept was to show that a hybrid could be sporty, fun, and efficient. I’m not sure what that car proved. However, I’ve known a few owners and they absolutely love their CR-Z. I guess love isn’t always a function of metrics.
I’d be ok with a PHEV Honda Ridgeline. The Rivian, while about the same size, and very cool to me, but is an EV. A PHEV Ridgeline would be a great vehicle for the next 15 years while battery tech improves (reductions susceptibility to environmental factors such as heat and cold, in weight, charging time, and degradatio…
Well, it wasn’t a Honda-CRX-Si. It was a Honda (make) CRX (model) Si (Trim/spec)
Though, I make no bets on nomenclature standards for any brand, or for the industry overall.
For a while there will be an e or an i, or an x, or something added to familiar names to ease people into this new reality, but eventually, they’re…
That’s a crappy situation. I would expect better of Honda. I’ve never heard of that happening, but based on what you said, I can see how that could happen.
I’m not sure the buy American advice is solid as a blanket statement.
However, one of my cars is a Radwood worthy classic American car. I can certainly get parts…
Go a step further and sell the design to a car company with a badge that has some pedigree.
Hyundai has come a long way, but in my experience with the brand, they’re not up to Honda or Toyota standards. I still feel like Hyundais should be the bargain choice; the one you buy when you want a new car, but don’t have new…
Thanks for the rundown. Can someone just post the ad that led to this entire story in the first place? I want to see for myself if a reasonable amount of doubt and reason would see that the car wasn’t in fact being sold as a CPO, yet wasn’t a CPO.
As I’ve mentioned, I was in a similar situation where I bought a car…
