I don’t know anything about trucking, and logistics, but how many long haul loads could be better served with an improved rail system? I have nothing against truckers, or the industry, or the people who keep this essential part of our infrastructure moving.

But, we need a rail system for travel and transport that can

Hmm, I get your point, but I think the truth is actually just the opposite. Those who want the differentiation of being in a trend probably have values that are not as practical as others. For me, I am already an upmarket buyer and typically get any and all factory options or top package.

The hours I spent on racing games increased over the years peaking with the various iterations of Gran Turismo.

These days I love me some Mario Kart 8.

What an interesting question.

Color trending is a thing. Most manufacturers aren’t establishing the trends, rather they’re responding to research and sentiment. Pantone, among other firms conduct research that has a predictive view on color.

I think that this is still mostly, though maybe slightly less true. Among my Ferrari and Porsche friends I see genuine praise for the C8. I don’t think I’d replace a Ferrari with a C8 Z06, but I’d add one to my collection. I think they’re dang good.

Will the 70s land yachts like that 6th Gen T-Bird ever achieve the collector status of 60s, 80s, and now some 90s cars? It seems like the collector market has largely avoided any level of affinity for these early malaise era cars.

Not all men have flimsy egos, but thanks for the unnecessary prejudice.

Speculating an end game here. As sophisticated as they were in the theft, can they turn these out and not get this traced back to them?

Will they go into a vault and appear sometime down the road after the statute of limitations becomes history?

1) Nissan needs to clean house and reimagine its brand. They used to be interesting, even if they were a third choice in most regards to Honda and Toyota.
2) Say what you want about Tesla, but they have done a decent job at looking at the whole EV ecosystem and not being confined to established norms.
3) I’m rooting

The Fix It Again Tony trope is one that’s well-earned. While your family’s experience may have been positive, the overall sentiment against the brand in America was not bestowed without reason. Any single experience could plot anywhere on the spectrum of reliability, and yet not be indicative of the overall brand.

I love that so many aspiring EV makers are jumping to challenge the establishment. I have no problem with the establishment, but Tesla’s hard charge to the top of the EV game has lit a fire under the butts of the establishment to take the EV transition seriously. They didn’t seem overly incentivized to push innovation

That’s a lot of maths and I appreciate your long reply, however, I’m not 100% sure if that was an argument to something I wrote, or in support of it.

My hesitation with a full-EV is not a matter of cost, it is a matter of practicality. Around town a standard EV suits all of my average weekly driving needs on a single

Potentially approaching a recession? I respect that perspective, though I think it is safe to say we’re in a recession. Technical indicators show multiple quarters of negative growth. I would also say that outside of copycat big tech layoffs, a lot of indicators say we may pull through the bulk of this by the end of

Why anyone would support meme lord douchbag Elon is beyond me.”

Hmm, is that true? Interesting.

I mean I can’t disagree that my suggestion may not be practical, but it could be.

These era of 5 Series just don’t hit me in the feels. I suspect that unless someone has a significant childhood memory riding in one, they probably don’t evoke much enthusiasm. ND for me.

Design is subjective and a matter of personal opinion, so you’re either right or your wrong with calling them ugly. However, Tesla for better or worse has a rather inoffensive design language that honestly make them as invisible as a Camry to me. The main difference between a Model 3 and a Camry is the missing Camry

It is great that they can be so nimble on pricing because they operate so differently than the model of the traditional dealer franchise.

However, it would be great if I could buy my Tesla at Costco like I would a salmon filet. If that salmon filet goes on sale in a certain period of time from when I bought it, Costco

Makes sense.
