While I don’t own a Tesla and I’m not a Stan for the brand or for the CEO, I’m curious about your basis for this comment:
First: Making cars is tough. Building a company to make new cars is even tougher. Rooting for you Lordstown, but gosh get a better name. Your best efforts to succeed will be thwarted by that cumbersome and awkward brand name.
Second: Tastes like compromise, wrapped up in a pretty PR piece.
Third: I’m not buying an EV…
These two prizes won’t be on the singles market for long.
That’s interesting. I didn’t know.
“I think the more concerning thing that ChatGPT has brought to the forefront is how confident an AI system will appear, even when it’s 100% wrong about something.”
If they don’t have to great. If they can’t, I understand.
Tesla’s a bit of an anomaly, and almost operates by a separate set of rules versus the automotive establishment.
Oh, this is definitely an issue. It is annoying and unnecessarily complicated to charge. There’ve been times when I’ve just given up and walked away. I like the Volta charging stations outside of stores. Plug-in and go.
Bigger than this for me is that EVs are a pain to take on long-trips. Even at the fastest charging…
The random shutoff problem doesn’t sound one that should be much of a mystery. This is a simple machine.
The price though, even if it didn’t have a phantom lurking under the hood, the ask isn’t reasonable.
But $4k? No.
$1,500? Probably not.
$500? Worth a shot.
Is the solution truly to bury these products?
Destroying them is not only a waste of materials, and probably not an environmentally responsible action, but also it won’t do much to preserve brand value, or improve future interest in their products or brand.
It is easy to see the world through the narrow view of life…
That’s a cool city. Hate to see some of those eateries go away.
You’re entitled to your opinion, but I don’t think you can go so far as to say “there is no disputing...”. I think it is totally valid to dispute this. What does locking her up solve or fix? How does that deter others from doing the same thing? How does locking her up prevent her from making a similar set of bad…
What’s in a name?
So, for those of us of a certain age, the venerable Jeep XJ platform will forever own our hearts. We remember them as a part of the fabric of suburban America. Many went on to second owners who exploited their simplicity, and their 4.0 I-6, 4WD capabilities to build decent trail rigs.
Then after a…
Quiet-quitting is leading to not-so-quiet firing.
I also think the terms layoff and firing have been used interchangeably, but incorrectly so. In some cases big corporate does use these layoff events to separate the wheat from the chaff, with low performers earning their walking papers. In those cases, layoffs and…
They need to do more than just have lights. Lights and signs are easy to ignore. What they need ahead of the bridge, is a set of chimes suspended from arches over the roadway that make a clear, loud, and unmistakable sound when hit by the overheight vehicle.
I’m all about digital innovation including fancy lasers and…
Haven’t been to Durham in a long time, and I don’t have the time to Google for answers at the moment, but here are some other tasty and relatively affordable options. Also, since the whole RTP area is so accessible, traveling away from Downtown Durham isn’t difficult.
Here are other lower cost food options:
Chubby’s…
Spoiler alert.
The surge in the visibility of AI tools like ChatGPT is a good window into the technology and sophistication of self-driving car technology.
If you’ve played with ChatGPT, its good and its fun, but its not a human. It isn’t actually smart in the way that any human is. At least not yet. In the case of ChatGPT, it isn’t…
I also don’t have a good answer to what the alternative should be for prison. It seems like the worst option on so many levels.
Also, if prison is one’s payment of debt to society for their indiscretions, why must they bear the burden of a forever felony as a blanket rule?
I’m not a dope, humans make mistakes, so I…
Not trying to add fuel to the fire, but is prison always the best punishment?
I’m not saying that people who break laws shouldn’t be held accountable, they should. But why is prison the go-to punishment?
Thank you for the images and content!
I however excuse this blog, and others in G/O media, and most other blogs. I don’t expect much. This isn’t anything against them, but I find that they know how little they can get away with to maximize engagement.
