Agreed fully. I think most people are broken though. I’ve always said, the moment I get to $2.1M you’ll never see me work another day in my life, since the 5% yields I can get from REITs mean I’ll make $100K a year to do sweet f-all. But somehow that isn’t enough for a lot of people.

It’s not mythology. My parents had a negative net worth when dad turned 40. 21 years later, it’s mid seven figures. One of their cars has a V12. The rest all have turbochargers and >400 hp but dad’s plane is their fastest mode of transport. All of their homes are all paid for. There was no inheritance or lottery

Because that’s the image the rich have worked hard to cultivate

I think there a larger percent that just don’t care about the rich. It doesn’t really affect me that Bezos makes millions a year. I never see the guy. His income stream doesn’t affect my income stream either. I have weened myself down on Amazon purchases though but that’s mainly just an effort to spend less money.

It’s all good...we can use hemp to replace all the oil based products...wait...what...we can’t???

Not necessarily true. She will go to jail for violating a law (assault, intimidating a FA). Wearing a mask is not federal law. Also, this might have been about a belt?

“Until customers are willing to pay more, internet access will always be spotty” - Rate increases, again and again, CEO bonuses jump, more investor dividends, same spotty internet access - “Customers just are not paying enough to improve the system.” - repeat previous cycle.

Love the tagline on that sign - more like “Welcome to the Suez Canal: Egypt’s Mealticket”

I agree with everything except the “Federal Law” part. It is “Federal Mandate” to wear a mask, not Law. It was not legislated to wear a mask but rather ordered. I believe it is important to understand the separation of powers.

For their part, Westerners were invited to reconsider life as petroleum studies’ dropouts during the Crusades, when exposed to firebombs, grenades and flamethrowers of unimagined ferocity in exchanges with Muslim armies

Don’t worry, don’t worry about a thing! The airline corporate board will do their best to make sure that airline employee unions are whittled back more and that airline employee’s jobs become worse over the next few years.

So is it over seatbelts or facemasks. This article and video are all over the place. The video says facemasks but all the passengers have them on and the lady even adjusts it after the tussle to make sure its over her nose. THe beginning of the article talks about seatbelts but then its on to masks again for a

toxins like lead, benzene, 1,3-butadiene, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes, isoparaffins, methyltert-butylether, MMT, MTBE,

Eh, it only weighs 1600 lbs. and it’s mid-rear engine, so the whole drive-train is on top of the axles. It’ll be fine.

My eyes were drawn to this too. I love it.

Congrats on the new Honda. As for the warehouse.. .this is so cool:

I recall there was a show called “BJ and the Bear” about a trucker with a pet chimp. Ok, it was an era.

The problem with putting a battery into the trailer is well... Cost. Now you have a $5000 trailer with at least $7500 worth of batteries attached to it. Most people would rather just buy a diesel F150 or something and save a years worth of running cost instead.

Hell, look at what happened with the California Public Utilities Commission in the wake of the SONGS closure years ago.

In short: the CPUC allowed the power company to pass the decommissioning cost on to ratepayers. This decision came after a secret closed-door meeting between the commission and the utility. In Warsaw.

Cool, now people in the county can pay a 800% markup for electricity too!
